(After I finish the project I’m doing right now of course, I have a bad habit of starting projects before I finish one so I’m trying to stop that lol) Thank you for this easy tutorial! So many questions. I've been haunting ravelry and youtube trying to learn more about mosaic crochet. There seem to be at least two different approaches, maybe more? Will you be expanding on this? What about gauge? Should I go down a hook size to keep it tight? I'll try this sample as soon as I finish this baby blanket (3 more rounds). Thank you. - one more question: Why do some patterns have all these cut ends?

    • @naztazia
      @naztazia  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The method I show in the video is the "easiest" way to do mosaic crochet "for beginners." Depending upon the design, other techniques might be needed to achieve a certain look, including some of the methods you mentioned.

  • @MTKKNITS
    @MTKKNITS 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

    For row 9 and 10 the all have dark pink .. so for the blocks without the X do we single crochet ? Or chain up 2 n skip it ?

    I hope I can do this I'm new to chrochet and it looks hard when you have symbols that mean mutible things on the back side it's a SC on the front it's a DC...🙏 hope I'm understanding this correct..

    • @naztazia
      @naztazia  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, you are. Each block is ultimately read twice, since each block represents two rows. On the first time reading the block across for the first row, you'll do a DC two rows below on the X blocks. On the second time reading the same block for the next row, you'll do a single crochet. It makes more sense when you actually try it.

    It's still confusing, you have 2 different explanation with x blocks.

    • @naztazia
      @naztazia  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Each block is read twice, one time (for example) for Row 5, then the same block is read for Row 6. With blocks that have X's on them, you'll only do the DC on the Row 5. When you go back and read the same blocks for Row 6, you'll just do a single crochet for X blocks.

  • @LL-xx4iq
    @LL-xx4iq 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    All those ends 😩

    • @naztazia
      @naztazia  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What do you mean? Since you are carrying the yarn up the sides, there are only 4 ends to weave in once completed (dark pink start/end and light pink start/end).

  • @leeannabrobst7058
    @leeannabrobst7058 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I love your videos but this is not mosaic crochet. Mosaic Crocheted it worked right to left very row there is no turning and no chains in the body of the work.

    • @naztazia
      @naztazia  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You have not done your homework on Mosaic crochet. Mosaic knitting came about in the 1960s. Since then, crocheters have attempted to mimic the look of Mosaic knitting. There are at least 4 different methods on how one can mimic Mosaic knitting designs by using crochet, both in rounds and in rows. One includes the method I show, one includes what you mention, plus at least 2 more options.
