Just to reiterate the point someone raised during the webinar, the speaker's panel would be better placed in the bottom right corner where it is not blocking the tabs from view.
Thanks for not clicking around as many other presenters do. For someone new to a program, one needs to study the screen for a while. Other presenters, already knowing everything on the screen I think that they can just click around. That makes it very confusing for those trying to take in a completely new image.
Does anyone know if there is a way to remove Bruce's picture from the video? It hides several icons that he clicks on, so we can't see which one he clicks on.
Thanks for this. In future webinars is it possible for Bruce's face to be somewhere else on the screen because it is blocking lots of buttons he is referring to in his demonstrations?
I would like to start from my great grandfather from the 1st generation and add his descendants of around 14 generations. The family tree is on paper as of now. Since by default the software has add mother/father option, is there any way I can change it to add children? Our main focus is going to be adding only people who belong to our family and won't be showing spouses of people who have married outside of family (will add them in notes or somewhere else)
Installing RM8, will the install convert the data from RM7 to RM8, automaticly? Also, will the date in Rm7 remain in RM7, without being deleted from RM7. What about the data in "Publisher" in RM7? Where will it be converted to?
Add the ability to add a date to the history so I can get to the person I worked on a few days ago. This would also allow the ability to go to a person and see I had not worked on them for some number of months or year

The sizing problem you encountered at timecode 11:40 is nothing to do with webinar software. I encounter these lags as well on a fast system and previously demonstrated this lag to you on my own video here th-cam.com/video/bxkdBuMRfSw/w-d-xo.html

On the People List click on Customize and add the Date Edited. You can sort on that column header to see the order you worked on people.
