"Interstate Love Song," "Vasoline," "Crackerman," "Between the Lines," "Sour Girl," "Sex Type Thing," "Dead and Bloated," "Days of the Week." Those are just a few to start with, but "Interstate Love Song" is by far my favorite of all-time. Keep up the awesome work & God Bless!
STP is one of the best bands from the 90's. Scott's voice is just so good. They created some amazing songs throughout the decade and beyond. Love this song, such incredible lyrics. You hear the angst in Scott's vocals and the music backing it fits perfectly, and yes the drums are a standout while not being aggressive. On the more upbeat side of things you should check out - "Big, Bang, Baby".
3:30 “friends don’t mean a thing I guess I’ll leave it up to me” that lyric means a lot to you you lose a lot of your friends because of the choices you make.
This song among others from this time remind me of the night of the Northridge earthquake in 1994. The radio station was playing their more laid back songs to help people keep calm between aftershocks throughout the early morning.
I adore the Unplugged version of this song, I don't know why ALL of MTV Unplugged hasn't been re-released on all formats but it's a crime. The live version of this bananas good.
Yay! Awesome group! Try Sour Girl, Big Bang Baby, Trippin' On A Hole In A Paper Heart, and Lady Picture Show ☮️ Oh, and Wicked Garden. Think you would like that one.
This song was released in November of '93. And about this time there was a national news story (and trial) about Lorena & John Bobbitt. Local DJs from where I was TAD at Aberdeen Proving Grounds had all sorts of fun playing the chorus of this song just before going into the news segments.
Stone Temple Pilots and Scott Weiland were such an underrated and underappreciated part of the grunge scene. Some people refuse to acknowledge them as grunge just because they came out of California instead of Washington. But I'll certainly always include them in with Nirvana, Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, ect. because of the music they contributed to the grunge movement. RIP Scott Weiland. 🙏
Hey Rob Squad. For more STP songs, I highly recommend "Interstate Love Song", "Trippin on a Hole in a Paper Heart", and a huge favorite of mine and one of STP's best songs, "Big Empty". There's only one real video for "Big Empty" on YT. And it's from STP on MTV Unplugged.
Great reaction, Jay and Amber, other songs by the 'Stone Temple Pilots': "Big Empty", "Sour Girl", "Vasoline", "Interstate Love Song", "Dead and Bloated", "Plush", "Art School Girl", "Sex Type Thing". There are many more but these are good ones to continue with.
I worked as a lot boy at Diamond Chevrolet in Worcester, MA back in the 90s and a car was brought in trade. I swapped plates, jumped in the car to park it, and found this album on cassette in the tape deck. It was so good and a bunch of songs off it hit the radio within a couple weeks. That was a lucky find.
Good reaction! 💙 STP are a great band, and Scott had awesome vocals. I was lucky enough to have seen them live in NY before Scott passed in an untimely death. They were great live as well.💯
One of my friends dad was a producer at a label and he gave me this cd back when it first came out. Excellent album that took a couple years to gain traction.
You watched the movie Almost Famous on your other channel. That director did a movie set in Seattle during the grunge music era called Singles with Matt Dillion, Bridget Fonda, and a few familiar faces i won't spoil for you.
I was lucky enough to see them in concert in the 90s. It was epic. They had an entire acoustic set drop from the ceiling. An entire stage dropped down. Then, they did 4 or 5 songs acoustic. This was one of them. I didn't realize how privileged i was at the time. Scott is an all-time great for me.
For another mellowish song, "Sour Girl" The music video features actress Sarah Michelle Gellar. For an uptempo song try, "Tripping On a Hole in a Paper Heart" I remember them performing "Pretty Penny" on the '94 MTV awards, right before Krist introduced a look back at Kurt Cobain.
Love this band, unheard of when they first came out. I went into Virgin records to buy their CD and was given The Stone Roses CD, when i said "No, The Stone TEMPLE PILOTS" the assistant looked at me as if i didn't know what i was talking about.
For a bit of a jazzy sound from these guys try "And so I know." Pretty deep rabbit hole with STP, "Sin", "Interstate Love Song", "Big Empty", "Sour Girl", and "Sex type thing" just to name a few.
Stationed in Germany during 92 and 93 I bought the Core cd at the PX on a whim...the cover looked cool but I'd never heard of them. Got back to my barracks, played it start to finish and I was blown away
Stone Temple Pilots are one of my all-time favorites. You really should listen to their song _Big Empty,_ one of their best. Both the album version and the live version from MTV's Unplugged are amazing. It was on the soundtrack to _The Crow,_ the best movie soundtrack _ever,_
Saw STP at the memorial coliseum in Corpus Christi, TX opening up for Megadeth when their debut album dropped, needless to say I went right out that weekend and got ithave been a fan ever since...RIP Scott...you are dearly missed....
Love this STP tune!....This and "Interstate Love Song", which you already did, are probably my favorites of theirs. Like you said, Amber, the pace of this song is what gives off the crazy vibe!
Glad you guys appreciate grunge era. To me being a lifelong music lover this was one of the top eras for great music with bands STP, Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Nine Inch Nails. All had many great songs! For STP, I think you should do Interstate Love Song or Sour Girl next.
Singer Scott weiland was in a band later with Slash called Velvet Revolver. You need to hear Velvet Revolver "Fall to Pieces" R.I.P. Scott

Fall To Pieces is EPIC!
"Interstate Love Song", "Plush", "Sex Type Thing", "Vasoline", "Sour Girl", "Dead And Bloated" are all great songs by STP.
ALL GREAT TUNES!!!
Unglued.
Let's not forget Big Bang Baby.
Wicked Garden
They've done most of these.
I second "Interstate Love Song" a great tune from one of the greatest bands ever. Thanks for playing "Plush" and "Creep", you guys rock!
They've already done it
What a voice, it just sucks that he's gone.
💯. Never got over it. Love Scott
No one's ever really gone
STP are a legendary band. RIP Scott Weiland
When STP first dropped they blew me away. Great “new” band!
RIP Scott Wieland, One of the great voices in Rock history.
I definitely recommend Stone Temple Pilots song "Lady Picture Show"
Love that song. Tiny music is a very underrated album
Same. Especially since they like the Beatles, and that song is very reminiscent of a Beatles production.
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSS!! STP!!! RIP, SCOTT!! You are MISSED, SIR!! Thanks for reacting to this one!! LOVE this song....HUGS, YA'LL!!!
"Wicked Garden" - and vale to Scott Weiland. Truly great voice.
Stone Temple Pilots - Sour Girl
Yes.
Great song
That's a really good song that, even at the time, sounded very retro to me.
One of their best! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
(and likely: the best song of that year!
- One of the top 3, by ANY measure!).
SUPERB! 🤘🤘
Yes! My favorite song of theirs.
Big Empty from the Crow Soundtrack in 1994 by them is really good
I always confuse this song with that song
Superb song!!
That CROW soundtrack is, actually, "unreasonably excellent!"
💜💜💜🔥
Love that song!
@@SonicProfessor_a.k.a._T._AndraI agree. It's an awesome soundtrack.
@@SonicProfessor_a.k.a._T._Andra The Crow movie score is also great! I have both CDs
You rock, Amber and Jay. I love Creep! Thank you for playing!
STP is one of the best bands from the 90's. Scott's voice is just so good. They created some amazing songs throughout the decade and beyond. Love this song, such incredible lyrics. I didn’t know this was called Creep. You guys would LOVE Interstate Love Song. ❤😊
They did a vid on that one
@@moshpuppy13, don’t know how I missed that. I’ll look it up. Thanks. 🙏
@@CuttinEJ 🤙🏽
I agree, they'd like Plush too.
Big Empty is another banger by them

Atalanta is a haunting melody that just kills it.
Gotta say. STP is my favorite band. EVERY song on EVERY album is different. ❤
Classic song. Stoked when you guys dig more into 90s and later rock
Big Bang Baby and Tripping on a Hole in a Paper Heart are my two STP favs!
I remember being 10 years old in 1995 and hearing this in the am waking up for school. Memories.....
3:30 “friends don’t mean a thing I guess I’ll leave it up to me” that lyric means a lot to you you lose a lot of your friends because of the choices you make.
My favorite my Stone Temple Pilots is Sour Girl. RIP Scott Wieland

Another incredible loss... so talented and such an incredible voice. Rest in Paradise, Scott.
This song among others from this time remind me of the night of the Northridge earthquake in 1994. The radio station was playing their more laid back songs to help people keep calm between aftershocks throughout the early morning.
Great comment about the nature of grunge, Jay. A lot of people who aren't familiar miss how well crafted both the lyrics and music often are.
May God bless and keep you both and your family!! Thank you!
"Crackerman" "Sex Type Thing" and "Dead and Bloated" are just a few of their many great songs you should check out.
I can't thumbs-up this comment enough.
IMHO the best group to come out of the early 90's.
I'm so glad I got to see STP live with Scott a couple of times!
I adore the Unplugged version of this song, I don't know why ALL of MTV Unplugged hasn't been re-released on all formats but it's a crime. The live version of this bananas good.

Jay and Amber i love Stone Temple Pilots. I have their greatest hits CD this song is on there love the stereo affect.
a great 90s staple when it comes to music

They did on 10/29/22😊
Hey Rob Squad.
I saw STP in 08 when they got back together. It was my first concert without going with my parents. Amazing show.
MY FAVORITE BAND!!

"Big Empty",
"Sour Girl",

Interstate Love Song 🎧 🔥
They've already done it
Such an uplifting song. Whenever I feel down, I pop this on and I perk right up.
Glad you’re back with the Pilots . I’m always here for it.
This is my fave band from that era. Saw them in 2000.
So many great hits from STP. Great cover.
Love you guys, the Rob Squad is one of the best reaction channels, feels like family, which of course it is yours :)
I first heard of thus group on MTV in a video BIG BANG BABY.. music so so much fun back then
For another mellowish song, "Sour Girl" The music video features actress Sarah Michelle Gellar. For an uptempo song try, "Tripping On a Hole in a Paper Heart"
I remember them performing "Pretty Penny" on the '94 MTV awards, right before Krist introduced a look back at Kurt Cobain.
Their song "big empty" was on the soundtrack for the Crow movie in 1994. Every time i hear it i think of that movie.
Love this band, unheard of when they first came out. I went into Virgin records to buy their CD and was given The Stone Roses CD, when i said "No, The Stone TEMPLE PILOTS" the assistant looked at me as if i didn't know what i was talking about.
Scott was my friend's roommate before his band made it big. I remember his as a good guy and it pained me to see what fame did to him. RIP.
Interstate Love Affair is their best. Plush is great too.
They already did that one.😊
For a bit of a jazzy sound from these guys try "And so I know." Pretty deep rabbit hole with STP, "Sin", "Interstate Love Song", "Big Empty", "Sour Girl", and "Sex type thing" just to name a few.
Since you like 'Zeppelin, STP does a great cover of "Dancing Days" which is worth a listen by fans of either band.
Indeed.
great cover and Scott covers Revolution by the Beatles an amazing cover.
They did an AWESOME cover of the Beatles' "Revolution." I generally frown on Beatles covers, but theirs does the original proud. GREAT banger!
Big Empty by them is awesome
“Shelf in the room” by DAYS OF THE NEW. It’s gotta be one of the best grunge songs ever. U guys gotta play it☠️
Seen him and the band live on a festival long ago. So good!!!!

It's a great love song.
Sour Girl is my favorite STP song.
STP was one of my favorite bands in high school
Kitchenware & Candy bars from their second record. My favorite song of theirs.
Creep is also absolutely amazing.
New 90's artist: CAKE - "The Distance" is one of the best driving tunes ever.
LOVE me some Cake.. Short Skirt and Long Jacket is one of my faves too!
@@connieb4372 - Love that one. Not so much the music video though, the album or a live version would be better for a reaction.
Love this STP tune!....This and "Interstate Love Song", which you already did, are probably my favorites of theirs. Like you said, Amber, the pace of this song is what gives off the crazy vibe!
Scott weiand was a Huntington beach local. Played football for Edison high school. He'd stay home on Friday nights just practicing his singing.
They have lots of great songs with Scot. A song for sleeping is probably my favorite. As a parent it just makes me think.
Great choice. I love this jam.
Glad you guys appreciate grunge era.
