GRASSMEN are the fast-paced, global agriculture phenomenon whose video content and merchandise are recognised worldwide. The business was started in 2009 by current director Gareth Gault, known to fans as ‘Donkey’. His love and passion for machinery allowed him to experiment with cameras and upload content to TH-cam. To his surprise, a large following soon developed and the niche in the market for real-life, documentary, farming and machinery action made it possible to drive the brand forward.
We at GRASSMEN, pride ourselves on providing an exclusive look into agricultural manufacturers, meeting real, working farmers, showing and demonstrating tractors and machinery through all seasons such as silage and slurry and ultimately educating and entertaining our fans.
If you love all things agriculture from top manufacturers such as John Deere, Fendt, Massey Ferguson, JCB, Land Rover and many many more, come and join #teamgrassmen, we would love to have you!

At 58, if I was in that job with JCB in Australia there is no way I would come back to the UK for so many reasons other than the weather. Great video about amazing machines at work in a tough environment, top stuff!

Farmers working with no subsidies but the government isn't screwing then with a high vat rate like here in Ireland, only 10% in Australia. No adblue or dpf sounds like a dream, engine's aren't breathing their own farts

I have the pleasure of working on the Telitrucks, they are quite good to work on except the inner boom pipes😮 and the paint quality is very poor on the cabs, black peels off and there's rust underneath. If they were to sort that they would be cracking machines

I’d say with out a doubt JCB are the most well known plant manufacturer in the world not bad for a firm based in Staffordshire 👍

Not bad for a company that started with one man, a welder, some old war iron and a shed 👌

I have been driving the 540,/180 on different construction sites around Europe last few years. Every time it was replaced by a manitaou.

Irrigation Must Be Applied At Night
If crops are irrigated during the day potentially all of the water will evaporate off depending on temperature and wind speed.
The purpose of irrigating crops is for the water to penetrate the soil and reach the roots of the crops and the plants to absorb the applied water and grow.
The plants will not grow if all the water evaporates off after being applied.
    Research Project
How penetration of water applied during Irrigation varies with temperature and time of day being applied.
The obvious but crops must be irrigated at night to reduce evaporation of the water applied.
Same theory applies to manure spread on fields.
The slurry is supposed to penetrate the soil and reach the roots of the crops so the plants absorb the nutrients and grow.
Not the slurry is applied to fields the liquid evaporates off and the nutrients remain on the soil surface and/or stick to the plants.
Work out the best time to apply slurry regarding temperature wind speed and water saturation levels in the soil.
This theory also applies to herbicide and pesticide and lime applied to soil.
Using modern science and mathematical modelling could potentially vastly improve farm efficiency and crop production.
    Technology exists for a reason.
University academics and private companies must fill the void regarding preindustrial revolution methods of farming as this is the reality of the methods being used at the present time regarding Irrigation and applying Slurry and Spraying crops in fields.
There is the potential for vast efficiency improvements and cost savings and higher crop production if scientific methods were used for applying Irrigation and Slurry spreading and spraying crops.
Also in many parts of the world there is an acute problem with salination of land from irrigation.
This is primarily as they are applying irrigation during the day and almost all of the water applied is evaporating off.
Irrigation at night will vastly reduce the amount of water applied and thus vastly reduce salination of the land.
    Multiple research projects above.
