Did he tell you where he got his bumpers done? I have the same issue with my bumpers
@@justanaveragegamer9744 modified the Bumpers himself
Is he in the business of doing any more that you’re aware of?
@@justanaveragegamer9744 I'll find out 👍🏾
@@justanaveragegamer9744 hey mate.. not planning on doing anymore bumpers, there is just too much work in them. The only parts I make are the gutter trims and the Golde Sunroof cables
All these old cars I didn’t think much of back in the day I’d love to have in my drive way now
👌🏽
Soooo clean, soooo good, I can't think of any words to do it justice !!
Paul has done an amazing job on the build
I have similar but Taunus -82, and -76 two barrel 302 in it(for now, we have engine power/car weight restrictions when swapping engines). Just passed MOT, trailered it there , waiting for summer, not going to drive it in winter here in Finland with all that salt on the roads. You have really made yours with good taste.
Cool Tim. Enjoy it brother. Yeah, and stay off that salt mate. Cheers from New Zealand 🇳🇿
That’s amazing car I love these fords I am from the uk and we don’t have a lot off the left now well done on getting it to that standard is insane
Glad you enjoyed it!
perfect with the auto
beautiful cortina bro. cortinas and falcons best fords ever made. they all needed V8s. the capri was great to it did come out in south Africa with the mustang V8 motor in it.
Looks awesome. I had 2 TE Cortinas years ago...loved em.
It's a beauty! And Paul the owner is a top dude too.
Very nice. Very nice indeed!
The TE was my third car, mica green 250 x flow absolutely beautiful to drive. Bought it for 2000 dollars with a 4 speed and air shocks on the back...dealer says be careful she is a beast, Me 18 ok sure!!! drops the biggest burnout out of the yard
Haha sounds like a wild time!
Lol... Now that's how you exit a car yard
My first was a black cortina 250 cross flow. 4 speed manual.
Nobody ever mentions why there's no strut towers in the engine bay of these cars.. I know because I owned 5 mk5's and one Mk4 Corrina.. they got double wishbone from suspension.. allows for a lot more engine bay room.. not like the Ford escorts with the strut setup..
I fkn loved those 2.0L cortinas back in the day.. even the wagons were sick, you could literally just pop a burnout at the lights and smoke would instantly pour out the rear wheel arch as they were a 4 speed so the gears were longer giving the first gear a good burnout speed... Hook 2nd gear and you're smoking out an entire street 🤣
Cool Cortina, had a TF ghia 4.1 back in the day
Great Cars!
Had a few of these TE Cortinas mine was a beast but yeah this one tops it👌
Nice build bro beautiful car 👌👍
Absolutely beautiful 😍
Good job man, i like it too much
💪🏾
Nicest (new era) Cortina I’ve seen. Love it with the V8
She's a beaut!
Keep the rubbers and no sunroof love the rubbers on the door
This brings back memories of my TE Cortina. Mine was origionally a gold colour and then I painted it Sparkling Burgundy (EL GT Colour), running a 250 XFlow with Alloy Head, Cam and a little head work and in the end it was running a Gas Research setup and required a gas tank behind me due to the terrible fuel consumption. Upgraded brakes to hoppers stoppers setup. standard brakes were not the best. Unfortunatly I not longer have the car, the rust got to it, but I did save part of the car. I turned the front into a carbbq, which I ended up giving to a friend as I didn't use it :( I currently have a TD Cortina which Iam trying to restore, but like you guys have said parts are hard to find and rust is an issue. Currently looking for body panels for it, rear end section.
G'day mate, your old girl sounds great 👍🏾 good luck with the future build! Glad you enjoyed the video. Appreciated. Oh if you haven't subbed, i sure would appreciate it 👍🏾
Owned 2 TE's. A 2 litre manual & a 4.1 also manual. That 4.1 was worked to around 210 rw hp & HUGE flat torque curve. With a 3.5 9in diff & blueprinted borg warner 35 4 speed w custom ratios. Tricked out suspension. Back in the late 80's & early 90's. It was a real weapon. 14 sec 1/4 which is nothing now but sure it was due to me. & could have done mid 13's with more launch skill and better hook up in the rear. These weigh near 1/2 a ton less than a falcon barra.
Would a been a street weapon back in the day 💪🏾
Here in Argentina the Taunus (Cortina) came with a 2,3 liter engine
She's an absolute monster. I had an X pack I believe it was with air conditioning and power steering.
Apparently extremely rare. I really wish I had kept it.
The x pack falcons are rare!
Lovely motor blimey V8 my 1st MK4 Cortina i had in UK was a 1.3 so this makes it look rather lame. Still loved it though
👌🏽
Well done mate that’s one super clean Cordy 👌👌
That brings back memories. Mum n Dad's metallic brown Mk5 (79-82). I did find this revised model softened the front n rear areas quite nicely but probably biased 😉
Is it an amazing build 👌🏽
Wick Cortina Mate, love the sound as well
She’s a beaut!! Great interview.
We called her ms Cortina 😊😁
nice cars the cortina. that model looks like smaller version of the Australian XD and XE falcons in shape
Perfect ❤️
Nicely done 👍
Thanks 👍🏾
Beauty!
3:24 Man that is the best mk 4 Cortina I have ever seen, ever ! That is fucken beautiful mate ! Every panel is so sharp so crisp I get it man ! I get that ! Damn every thing pointed out is too much brother. And then the donk ! Chur my bro ! FUCK YEAH ! Cheers from New Zealand 🇳🇿
It's stunning mate!
Very nice
Beautiful cortina, I love what you have done with the brakes.... I have a cortina as well mk 5 xr6 turbo charged
The six turbo must go very well!
Yeah, it does, makin around 310 bhp at the rear wheels, at about 0.8bars of boost pressure
THANKYOU JASON

1980 Mark 4. my father's car.
Wheels make the car. Not usually into that sort of thing. Great build.
It really is an amazing vehicle
Nice
Schön!!🍀👍👍👍
👌
My. Mate. Had. 302. With. No’s oxide. Cortina. Very. Fast. Car
Would of been a rocket mate.
ford should have made factory hi performance cortinas... imagine a barra in these cars in bathurst even non turbo
They do go really well with just a crossflow so I can only imagine a barra 👍🏾
@@STREETCARCULTURE so ford can have a high powered small car to match the toranas
There are few Barra Corty's about, they are super quick
nice car! should have kept the crossflow!!!!
The 302 is 👌🏽
JASON
THE SUBARU SVX
IT CAME OUT WITH A V6 3.3 LITRE.
DEFINITELY A CAR THAT WILL SKY ROCKET IN PRICE BROTHER
RARE NOW
ONE ON CAR SALES
THEY ONLY CAME OUT WITH AN AUTO.
THAT WAS THE DOWNFALL, THEY HAD ISSUES WITH THE AUTO OVERHEATING.
IF THEY HAD A MANUEL GEARBOX
THEY IT WOULD HAVE BEEN SO MUCH FASTER . .,
169 KW
7.9 0/100KMS
A SUPERCHARGER KIT INSTALLED
NOS KIT.
GOT YOURSELF A SLEEPER .
.👍👍👍👍
I’ve owned quite a few TE cortina’s but that’s the best looking one I’ve seen I’ve recently sold three TE cortinas one was mint two were parts cars for the mint one made quite a bit of money off that sale he wants me to help him with doing the body work on it I’d love to get paid to work on the cars I sold 😂there’s one I definitely won’t sell it’s in a storage shed complete 1975 six cylinder TD cortina sedan same body shape as over kill blue burn out car I’m definitely keeping that one for the future
👌🏽💪🏾
I'd love to build an old corty one day.
@@STREETCARCULTURE beautiful little car to modify and work on I’m building a xh xr6 Ute atm next project is my TD cortina I want to find a v8 Windsor AU falcon sedan for parts my mechanic mate has built a 302 with LS1 heads on it custom intake and 347 stroker bottom and

🏁👍🏁👍🏁👍🏁👍
All the best to you too brother
Nice old Cortina, cute owner
Fuckin Lovely that!
It's gorgeous
It is such a clean build, IMHO it is shame he converted it to a V8, with a 250kw V8 he could have easily done a NA barra build with the same power and kept it like they were originally, a screaming 6cylinder.
9 vt bombodore owner's didn't like this video NO CLASS!! Beautiful cortina. 👍
👌🏽
did they come with the v8 from the factory in australia
Don't believe so mate.
No, we had the 2.0l pinto motor or the 3.3l and 4.1l 6cyl inline crossflow motors from factory
@@pljnewton 6cyl inline xflow first time ive ever heard of that i guess longer journeys in aus,uk was 2.0l overhead cam
In south Africa they had factory made v8 models
@@frozenice61 They had the pinto engine as well !!
What's a T E Cortina please for a British fan
Mk4 I believe mate
Spot on mate, mk4
Looks different to the uk version we had ... but cant put my finger on why
Perhaps bumpers?
The bumper mods completely change the look. More classic style.
@@pjm582009 couldn't agree more!
There are some differences between the Aussie and UK models, other than the bumpers we have side indicators in the guards, the bonnets are different as ours have a higher center in them. The engine bays are very different and also some interior components. Other than that the rest of the car is the same
The gt mirrors are always the first thing I notice
That bracket is gold zinc coated, not anodised.
That looks like a Mark 5 with a Mark 4 front end nice car though
Come to SOUTH AFRICA and u will see the best examples of Cortinas in the world
👌🏾
whats up with the title of the video? the cars mild not crazy at all not to mention the dozens of actually crazy V8 Cortina's in Australia
400 hp
Fantastic car but stop say yep yep yep
JASON HOW ABOUT IN 2020 YOU DO THIS MATE .
YOU NAME A CAR GROUP WHICH HAS OLD SCHOOL CARS
AND HAVE YOUR OWN CLUB .NAME REGISTERED..
LIKE EXAMPLE .......
OLD SCHOOL FOR MILLINIUN
START A NEW ONE UP...........
WE CAN HAVE MEETINGS AND CRUISE CLUB DRIVES.
BUT YOURS NEEDS TO BE UNIQUE ,
AND THATS WHERE AGE ISNT AN ISSUE.
SO 65 YEAR OLDS WITH CLASSICS CAN JOIN.
UNISEX TOO.
I DEFINITELY BE IN .👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I've got some plans....
Notice the plates changed are the plates fake
No.
It’s not the best car in the world but I don’t know why I’d have an embarrassment choosing this over a Lamborghini
Pombomb
😂
Lol not even close.
Still very tidy though
Lovely car, but spoilt by those horrible wheels and skinny tyres
Nice car but those wheels are horrendous.
Different strokes for different folks. I personally didnt mind 'them. would look tough on a set of welds!
A beautiful build ruined by the ridiculous choice of clown wheels.
