Weirdly, I’m clearing my parents house (they both passed a few months ago) and I came across my Your Sinclair enamel badge that I got when my letter was printed in 1984 in the mag!
I had a 48K with interface 1 and two MicroDrives. I got the FDS keyboard and fitted the spectrum and IF1 internally and I also mounted the two MicroDrives on top. It was excellent.
It gave it a good go, but that Yes and No type-in didn't quite manage to replace Geoff. But if you added a few more responses regarding Jetpac and Manic Miner it might.
Johnny the Ghost looks like a *really* good version of Sokoban. Those hang-rails are an interesting twist. Thanks, always loving your videos Paul. I wish I had that Fuller keyboard growing up (or the DKtronics one, especially since "DK" are my initials...)
ALways great to get to the end of the month and another episode. That keyboard does look great and I like the way those function keys work. Legend of the Amazon Women does look pretty dull.
I had 2 spectrums. One I got with Christmas money one year and the other I found in a jumble sale. The second one had a black enclosure in which the rubber key spectrum sat. It had big red keys that pushed down the rubber keys with pegs. It worked surprisingly well.
I had a DK'tronics keyboard, but found the Lo Profile better - since it was lower. But unfortunately, some keys gave up and I switched back to the DK'tronics. Bit flimsy (with stickers instead of proper printing), but quite reliable.
We had Tribble Trouble back in the day. People who bang on about Dark Souls being difficult don't know they're born. I could only get as far as level 3 with the bouncing ball and the pins.
Technically, it's a remake of the Atari 8-bit game "Johnny the Ghost". Not sure if that was based on the GameBoy game or whether it was the other way round.
I was disappointed with mine, Too loud for my liking. I did fit my Kempston interface internally and mounted the joy port to the top where the sticker would have gone. But it kept crashing and trying to plug in or out anything on the edge connector meant opening up the keyboard so I got rid of it.
I've dealt with retailers and utility companies whose chatbots produce conversations less coherent, and _much_ less amusing, than yours. You should license it. Just throw in a few responses like _"Do you have a smart meter?"_ or _"What is your order number?"_ and you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference.

Sorry for your loss.
@@robm8809thank you
Thanks for another great episode. And thanks for your kind comment on the cover I drew for the Retro Annual.
Brilliant Paul 🤩
Always love your show. Feeling a bit ill just now... this really lifted my spirits ❤️
It is like a good honey and lemon drink really isn't it. :)

It’s almost on a par with ChatGPT
Surly you mean Lords of Midnight and Jetpac if it is replacing me Alan?

Thanks for reviewing Johnny The Ghost!

"Is the Earth flat?"
"Only after eight"
🤣

Great episode. I remember buying Tribble Trubble back in the day
Thanks Paul. You missed a '1' out of the episode title.
Oops.. Fixed
The retro annual looks great, will have to buy a copy
One fix for that chatbot could be spelling "cheek" correctly.
Always a pleasure to watch, and I didn't even have a Spectrum back in the day :)
Can I persuade you to make an MSX show on the side?
Another great video. I think I've watched every one.
The later fuller keyboards always looked to me like they re-used the Camputers Lynx case.
I wonder how many people purchased the Jupiter Ace keyboard?
The music on 'Johnny the Ghost' sounds really familiar. Had it been used in an earlier game?
It's a shame Sinclair couldn't buy Fuller and produce a Speccy you could just drop in the Fuller keyboard.

Thanks for sharing
I bought a Fuller, I wonder if it’s still in the loft.
Thank you.

Legend Of The Amazon Women looks like it's my level of gaming. I'll give it a go.
Muy buen canal y aportación.👍🏻👌🏻
Johnny the Ghost is Catrap for the Gameboy which is a great game

Johnny the ghost look so good, can you buy it on cassette?
Cheak?
146 not 46?
Yep, was wondering about the ep number too.
Overflow???
@@craigvard1639wouldn't an overflow go to -110?
@@ltdrak it depends on what kind of CPU Paul based.
Fixed.
Did the DKtronics keyboard ever come with printed keys. I'm sure mine didnt have the stickers you had to add yourself.
Paul, have you ordered the new Spectrum from Amazon £89
I have got one reserved with Lee's Games and collecting it before the next episode. Might have enough time to cover it 😅
Paul there is a new handheld Speccy out now,
The Zx Touch and pricy but way way better than that Vega rubbish
I reviewed it a few episodes back😂
8:21 😂😂

A spectrum that doesn't like manic miner......
Worst dart game i've ever seen. 180 wipes the floor with it in every aspect.
do you like polotican
