What I would like to know is - as a Canadian citizen - close to retirement age - how could I assimilate into Paraguay with my pension ? I'm now 55. What are my options? (Single, no children). What are the single female options in Loma Plata? Can I buy a small piece of land, and build a small house, affordably? I speak the language. But, I've heard from my family it is quite expensive.

@@Em-mr6wu We live in PY because it is a super fun country to live in. Family comes first. There is so much Freedom compared to other countries. It is Real life here. The tax system is very favourable... etc etc I could go on for hours about all the wonderful positive reasons to live in Paragauy. We don't mind if people come and live here or not. That is their choice. But If they do. We provide the best, most transparent, honest and professional service in Paraguay, to assist their relocation and provide them with a smooth process when obtaining Paraguayan Residency or Citizenship.
I don't know about an English community, but I have lots of cousins there and most of them know quite a lot of English. You can get by in most places with English because it's the most common second language.

There is so much land around Paragauy still for sale at very affordable prices. Much cheaper than Canada, US, Australia, Asia and or Europe
