I wonder if you can make a living there as a cattle rancher.
I was born in Loma Plata. My family moved to Canada in 1970. I was 2 years old. My grandfather was once the ubershultz in Loma Plata - Jacob Braun (I'm sure your interviewee would know the history of my family there - his nickname was "EEZA BLETZ" which translates into " iron forehead" . There was a book written about him by a professor/historian in the Chaco.
What I would like to know is - as a Canadian citizen - close to retirement age - how could I assimilate into Paraguay with my pension ? I'm now 55. What are my options? (Single, no children). What are the single female options in Loma Plata? Can I buy a small piece of land, and build a small house, affordably? I speak the language. But, I've heard from my family it is quite expensive.
There is so much land around Paragauy still for sale at very affordable prices. Much cheaper than Canada, US, Australia, Asia and or Europe

@@Em-mr6wu We live in PY because it is a super fun country to live in. Family comes first. There is so much Freedom compared to other countries. It is Real life here. The tax system is very favourable... etc etc I could go on for hours about all the wonderful positive reasons to live in Paragauy.
We don't mind if people come and live here or not. That is their choice.
But If they do.

English community there?
I don't know about an English community, but I have lots of cousins there and most of them know quite a lot of English. You can get by in most places with English because it's the most common second language.
During my follow-up of all the videos on TH-cam, as well as during research three years ago, and to this day, many advise only to visit Paraguay, not in order to settle down, and this information I took from people from Paraguay, as well as from Latin America, who do not advise living in Latin America? As for some immigrants from America and Canada for reasons related to taxes inside America, Canada and Europe, for this reason many think of moving and some move to Latin America during conversations with many people in Latin America and they tell me administrative corruption is everywhere these countries are not countries of stability only to visit on the one hand Law and order in Latin America, administrative corruption, ,, Also, I have a note regarding the review of legal transactions in court and in the police, and in many places, treatment is not good in all of Latin America, whether they are citizens or immigrants, the reason is administrative corruption, In the past, I was very excited to live in Latin America, but many advised me from Latin America only to visit, not to live, including people working in the government, and the reason is administrative corruption, not like what we expect in America, Canada and Europe. There is a law in Europe, Canada and America, and many legal procedures You are late and the reason is administrative corruption, and here is the problem .
You do realize the institutional corruption is way worse in the western world?
They just hide it better and make it unreachable for the Average Joe. At least in Latin America everyone has a shot to successfully bribe people
