Let's say I engaged a guy in a firefight and we started to shoot at the exact same time, with the same gun and attachments.. All the adjustments I'll have to make in order to stay on target will depend totally on my reflexes, however, the dude I was shooting at had the aim pretty much locked onto me because of aim assist. The ONE SHOT that I've missed by having to adjust my aim was that ONE SHOT that the dude with the locked on aim assist didn't miss, causing me to lose the gunfight. I guess it is pretty easy for you to undestand now.. at least I hope.

I used to use no aim assist in warzone 1 and mw19 because of how weak the aim assist was in those games, and man it felt good. Now I go back to those games I’m like, what? 😂
Its a marksman rifle this can happen, wouldn't happen with a true sniper. He broke plates but the follow up noscope looked to hit a limb shot, which do little damage on the marksman rifles.

I both like and dislike Aim Assist. I usually play with default or black ops. However, both of them irritate me because the sensitivity slowdown is excessive and the bubbles are too big. It feels like there is a repulsion around the enemy that pushes my sights back. So for a while I played with Aim Assist turned off, but eventually I turned it back on because it was easier to get kills with it on. But it is still frustrating. I have repeatedly asked the developer to add a new Aim Assist option or allow us to set the slowdown strength and bubble size as we wish, but nothing will probably change. Please excuse my poor English.
same, in my first two months on warzone 1 i played w/out aim assist, got used to it, but always wanted more, started playing 20/20 no AA, and i really liked it, but when i saw the potential that AA had if i could handle that little frustranting part... HOLY. 20/20 with AA on that game was literally perfect, not too fast, not too slow, no dumb broken AA, no useless AA, simply on point.
Most players say that aim assist is a cheat. I also agree because many people like to play on PC with a joystick and shoot a lot of hard target shots usually the mouse is hard to do in many cases. If it really is not good better, why are so many people switching to joysticks?
Read this whole comment. Aim assist is necessary for joysticks to compete with mouse and keyboard due to their imprecise nature. The only reason Aim Assist is such a problem now is due to the rotational aim assist that is cranked to 1000 in mw2. It tracks targets about 60% - 70% for you if you know how to make it engage and "reset it" when it stops working. If they reduced the assist to like 30% nobody would be complaining except for people who would then say Aim assist doesn't work anymore and is broken in a bad way
