STREET FIGHTER 6 - HOW MODERN CAMMY AUTO COMBOS SHOULD HAVE BEEN

I’m really disappointed with how modern Cammy's auto combos turned out. Specifically, Auto Combo 2 feels poorly designed and doesn’t align with the character’s traditional playstyle. It seems like a missed opportunity to enhance Cammy’s gameplay. Instead of adding depth or fluidity, this feature feels clunky and disconnected from what makes Cammy enjoyable to play. Capcom really needs to address these issues and make some adjustments to ensure Cammy remains engaging and true to her roots. It’s frustrating to see a beloved character get such a lackluster treatment in this aspect of the game.
I think the auto 1 and 2 are fine (not great, but they work). Changing them to what you suggested (Which I would admit be very nice indeed) would make her somewhat unbalanced and go against some of the rules of Modern Controls. If I'm not mistaken, all Light Auto combos start with a low, so having a SLP as an auto combo for Cammy would be OP, since you'll be able to check drive rushes if you react.
Auto Combo 2 is not great, but I think giving her both CMP and CMK wouldn't make her that much different from classic. and that's the point CAPCOM wants to probably reinforce is that modern is a "lesser" version of the character with dependable mechanics. Classic Cammy gives better whiff punish abilities whilst Modern gives you that consistent divekick / spin knuckle to skip neutral / get in and stay in (even though you're given all versions of divekicks, but I rely on the OD shortcut a lot in tense situations).
Interesting take though, I do like how you locked SLK to an auto combo... I think giving Modern Cammy this alone would be huge in itself. Legit would just hold Auto and fish for that all day haha...
I am currently diamon 2 with modern cammy. I use her SMP a good amount for pressure and meaty setup but i dont think i have ever use the full M auto combo. I wish i had CMP. I hate how some character they have to button that do rhe same normal. Making modern worse for no reason
@@Spidermenace1 It sounds like you’re making good progress with Modern Cammy, but I get the frustration. The limitations in Modern control schemes can definitely feel restrictive, especially when you don’t have access to key moves like CMP. It does seem like some characters end up with redundant normals or missing important tools, which can make things harder. I feel like the devs had no idea what they were doing when designing auto combos with the initial rosters. Characters released from year 1 are well designed, it looks like they have a better understanding of it now and I hope they do the same thing they did with Zangief and Juri to Cammy.
@@ModernFightingGameswhat did they do tu Juri and Zangief?
They should make custom modern control.
My Juri dont have medium standing kick, a cool poke by the way, and i cant do anything about it!
why the hell would anyone play classic then
@@ali-c4h3d not my problem
I played cammy I'm a master 1600, I feel like I lose to weak low punch and medium low punch. And this change would be nice like the modern jury.
Hope they give her crouch mp like they did to Juri, shes waaay better to play now
@@Noct89 Right, I’m thinking there might be something for her in Terry’s patch.
do you play pad or hitbox?
in this video for the classic inputs I used hitbox but I normally use xbox pad from PowerA when I using modern controls.
@@ModernFightingGamessame but I use a ps4 pad
Yea her auto two needs re work for sure
I only use the light auto the others ones are trash . But is a super character in modern she carry me to Master
@@elpascu4056 Sounds like Cammy’s really working out for you with Modern! I agree, the light auto definitely feels like the most reliable one and I just feel like her Down light, light was different. The Auto 2 is bad that’s for sure. Her Auto 3 is actually pretty solid. Cammy is a strong character, and it’s awesome that she’s been able to carry you all the way to Master
@@ModernFightingGames thks bro
