I was there too and because an earlier concert was blown off there was a mixture of heavy metal fans and soft rock fans like me. It was one of the best concerts for me and my wife. And Mick did the "moonwalk". Now there is stil good (different kind of) music (for example Wye Oak, Warpaint, Trust), but this group made a development from hardrock to a collaboration with eastern music and deserves a special place in pop history (especial the way Mick Karn plays the bass!
Unfortunately, this highlights some of the reasons Oil On Canvas ended up so overdubbed. Mick's intonation wanders all over the place, primarily due to him wandering all over the stage, and not looking where his fingers were on the fingerboard.
I was there with my sister Ingrid, being squashed in the first row. Also being able to touch David's white leather shoes, if only we knew how much they meant.
I was actually there! Unforgettable. Mick Karn was hovering over the stage. His feet never touched the floor.
I was there too. I remember the same.
HE WAS SO BEAUTIFUL AND
FOREVER! 私の青春。

He never looked at his fingers when playing. Never.
He did, but very infrequently.
