Just the other day I realized I don't actually know or see that much about this animal. Going out of my way to learn about it has made it one of my favorites. I haven't been able to find if the conservation efforts are doing well yet but I hope they are. It would be awful to lose such a beautiful species.
I was just thinking if there would be a way to set up permanent SART style devices permanently on larger whales specifically or would we be just assisting whale hunters.?? This could be a way of collision avoidance programming and possible alarm aids / ship awareness ?? Could we classify individual animals as world heritage animals. Protecting them world wide in all waters agains all..???
