i’m just getting back into the crafting community and i just want to say that it’s so neat to me that people are still keeping up with resin and polymer clay. a lot of the channels i used to watch stopped uploading but it’s so awesome to see new creators! love your uploads! ❤️
Girllllll I totally needed this video in my life! I’m patiently waiting for the molds I ordered from you and legit cannot wait to play! I’m so newborn to the resin world and learned so much from this video. TFS! 💜
I use paint, eye shadow and mica powder in my resin! The eye shadow makes it translucent and I found some colors of paint is very translucent, especially the metallic colors, but I usually add pearled white in mine to make it more of a pastel so it makes them opaque. Black also is one where it doesn't want to be opaque enough and somehow adding in my white pearl doesn't turn it grey!
I do nails, so I have pretty much always used pigments and things from my nail supplies to color my resin. And YESSS those born pretty powders are amazing! Great video. I love your molds!
These videos are super helpful for beginners like me so thank you so much! Could you make a video on how you clean your items? I’m finding that to be almost just as difficult as the process lol
I’ve been watching your videos for 2 days straight after finding you, and now I double want to get into resin. I scanned your website and Etsy and am now a bit sad that I couldn’t find where to buy the bt21 or bts moods but I’ll just find some other moulds to start with 😅 thank you so much for your beautiful and helpful content!
ktdiddle5 I don’t sell my molds on Etsy because of the fees they take out. But they the BT21 molds will be available during my restock tomorrow at 3 pm est 💖
@@SweetArtCrafts I can relate, the bottles do get messy. I've seen a lot of companies start to sell pumps. I just worry they would get clogged or something 🤔
So happy you started a channel and are willing to share these things with us. I thought I was doing something wrong because I always noticed specks when I used powder pigment even after mixing well. I cant wait to try this tip! Do you have a trick to using the powders direct to molds? I notice people do that as well but it usually ends in a mess for me lol
When are the pockey moulds gonna be back in stock and also could you make a the green Christmas pockey one from one of your videos towards the end of 2020? I really like them and would like to buy one but i won’t have any money until the end of 2020
That last project got me thinking; I wonder how it would have worked if you did a thin layer of epoxy with the drops and allow to partly cure, then do a second thin layer with the dots and allow to partly cure, then a final thin layer with the dots. In my head it looks really cool hehe.
What's the difference between the dyes and alcohol ink? If you've experimented with the inks some more, do they color similar when mixed in the resin or is it only meant for drop placement? Thanks for the ppe info in the beginning, also. Would be be willing to do a tour of where you work? I saw some people build tents but boy, do I Not have the space for that. 😂
They are somewhat similar, most people use the alcohol inks for drop placement. I haven't personally seen anyone use it to mix the color in the resin. I am sure it works. My issue is the cost of the alcohol inks. I saw pack of 3 colors from $12-26 when with the resin dye kits you get a wider variety of colors and for all 24 color I think the cost was $20. I do plan to test out mixing the alcohol inks in the resin to see how they work.
In this video I was using a 2:1 ratio resin which is usually thinner in consistency. The 2:1 ratio resins I use are Clear Cast 7050 and Liquid Diamonds.
It has been exactly a year this month since I have been doing resin crafts. I want to do a mold video showing how to mold trinket trays and cups from either the store or thrifted ones but I haven't see anything that has caught my eye yet.
Lauren Tate It’s possible, I don’t think she’s trying to say that it never works, she just explains that it’s happened many times for her, which makes complete sense. Along with different paint types/brands having different levels of opacity (your paint could be generally more opaque), you’re also likely using more paint than she does - which as she says, does run the risk of affecting proper curing... but as long as you stay between the two amounts - not too much but not so little that it’s still slightly transparent - you can get great opacity.
Like @Lilboh Beat said, it does happen where it doesn't fully cure. I meant to show several of my pieces where I used too much paint and they were super soft and bendable. I've also had people complain to that this happens to them, that is why I cautioned and said to use a little at a time since it does run the risk. Also I have tried a couple of brands of paint and they have never been fully opaque for me, I probably just haven't came across a good paint brand that is to the opaqueness of my liking yet.
Yea with alcohol inks the effects are greater of left alone and not mixed the whole allure is how the inks make different splash like particles or patterns when the different colors mix together naturally.
Elisabeth Blackwood They are not extreme. There are people who can grow allergies to epoxy resin if they do not wear proper protective gear. I have seen people get rashes, puffy eye and face, burns and get extremely sick. If you don’t believe me check out the “Epoxy Resin is not your friend” group in Facebook. Better safe than sorry.

those baby bt21 molds are so cute 💕
Thank you!!
The alcohol inks were so pretty 😯
Thank you!
The little tray at the end came out stunning, over the moon gorgeous and I'm in love. Great work and thank you for sharing
I love your resin videos please keep uploading more ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm glad you love my videos! I sure will! I am trying to be more consistent this year.
i always need resin basics🥰💜
i’ve always found just mixing the alcohol inks straight into the resin works sooo well and makes some pretty amazing colors

that tray was acc stunning tbh

I loved the way the Alcohol Ink turned out, on both sides. They were beautiful.

I like all the ways. Pls list the items you used plus molds. Thanks 😊 Lisa
very nice ! great job

ktdiddle5 forgot time mention it’ll be restocked on my website lol. 💗
The alcohol ink one was beautiful! It was not weird at all!
Do you mix hardener with resin or do you pour it on top of the molds?
Loving the creativity
hey! what kind of blowtorch do you use? and what color is best for painting the resin after its dry? lovely video
You just got a new subacriber! And BTS OMFG BT21😍😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️❤️💜❤️
Where did u get the white plastic spoon u was mixing with at the beginning
Such great tutorials
I love your videos they’re so cool
Thank you! I am glad you enjoy them!
Congrats on 11k subscribers 🤩🤩🤩 yay!!! These are all so cute, great tips and tricks as always. Do you ever use pumps to measure out your resin? 🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺
No I don't I just pour them into the measuring cup. Using pumps would actually be helpful because my bottles get very messy after a while.
@@SweetArtCrafts I can relate, the bottles do get messy. I've seen a lot of companies start to sell pumps. I just worry they would get clogged or something 🤔

Seriously Creative has a new video showing her doing that. I have yet to try this method out myself but I do want to.
Sweet Art Crafts thanks I’ll check her video out now!
Can I use powder eyeshadow instead of the nail powder?
i'm a beginner --what kind of stir spatula ? & little cups?? where do u get them?
Thanks for the video. I love the rainbow mold so I followed the link to buy one, but it isn't there. Will you be making more?
Unfortunately I no longer sell that mold design
@@SweetArtCrafts oh well. Thanks anyway.
Love your videos
Thank you!
When will the cloud and rainbow molds be restocked? I would love to buy them 😍
The rainbow mold has been discontinued unfortunately but the cloud mold should be restocked this Sunday @ 3 PM EST on my website
@@SweetArtCrafts Thanks!
if you dont have any powders, could you use crushed eyeshadow as a substitute?
Deanne Alexa de Castro I’ve watched someone else try it out and it looks like it works 💖
For the alcohol inks can you mix them in the resin and then pour it in the mold or does it have to be done the way you did? Love the video!
You can mix them in the resin and pour them too.
@@SweetArtCrafts thank you!
How do you get your color to dry
Everytime we use color it comes off on hands.
Maybe not mixing up enough resin with it im not sure
Adding pastels works too right?

It’s from your last video
The molds have been restocked. And yeah def.

Love it.
Thanks!!
Do you have in your shop a shaker mold I can use to do a keychain for my husband

the rainboooowwwww im screaming
Thank you !! :)
Can I put poster colour paints
Can you put the dry pigment colors in acrylic paint
I've done it before and it works, just be careful of the measurements of the paint so that it doesn't ruin the curing of the piece.

Is it expensive to do? Looks like it
I really want to start with the resin :''') Can you custom some phone cases with resin? ❤
Roxy Piña yeah its called Decoden and its super cool ówò
Weird? That tray was awesome!
Im am pretty new in the resin community and did some stuff myself now. But my resin is WAY thiccer than urs??? What resin do you use? 👉👈

they say you can also use watercolor, what do you think about it? just a little drop of paint without water
Where did you buy you resin cups?
Amazon and party city
Are you making ur molds urslef?
Awesome as always!!!! Question: How long have you been doing resin crafts? Also, can you do a DIY mold video??

When I use paints it's always opaque and they cure perfectly?

Use heavy body acrylic and not craft paint. Not all filler. U use way less with better color payoff and dont have to add a bunch
I want the baby BT21 molds!!!! They are always sold out....:( :(
Your website doesn't work. Is there a place to buy your molds?!
Hi I’m not selling molds currently unfortunately 💖
@@SweetArtCrafts oh no 😢 please let me know if you do again.
OMG putting a bit of rubbing alcohol in with the mica powders: you are a genius!!! These are epic!! Thank you for the awesome videos!
Are you adding the resin dye to epoxy?
Yes
No dislikes😘
Yea with alcohol inks the effects are greater of left alone and not mixed the whole allure is how the inks make different splash like particles or patterns when the different colors mix together naturally.
Yeah I figured that! I'll def leave them alone to do there thing the next time I use them.
What brand of resin are you using?
Denise Sepulveda I used 2, I switched between Liquid Diamonds and Art N’ Glow.
Have you ever tried with nail polish?
Ooh
Fun fact! Alcohol inks don't work well in UV residents 😅 yes, I learned this the hard way..alcohol inks are so expensive though....
omg baby bt21 🥺
I would love to review your molds on my channel
The link to your molds is blank
@@TamilynnChera hi ! I stopped selling molds over a year ago. 💖
If using paint I'd use a heavy body paint. I think those craft paints are too much filler in them and some dont work
That's a great idea! Thank you!
Is that BT21 oh mi goshhhh
the last one scared me...
*Am I ok?*
