Wylam with its wonderful railway station and fabulous signal box, beautiful river and bridge. Plus George Stephenson’s house and museum. My Mum used to live on Stephenson Terrace. ❤
7:47 Hexham Abbey definitely isn’t a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Maybe you are getting it mixed up with Durham Cathedral instead 40 miles to the south which is a World Heritage Site. The UNESCO listing for Frontiers Of The Roman Empire relates to Hadrian’s Wall itself in Northumberland and also the Antonine Wall in Scotland, it has nothing to do with the town of Hexham.
Good grief. 1. It's pronounced 'Bambura' Castle, 2. It's pronounced 'Annick', Castle, 3. Hadrian's Wall has NEVER EVER been the boundary between England and Scotland!
@@beforeyougotravelApart from the times you said Ann Wick. Lucky you didn’t go to Prudhoe or Cambois as there are pronounced quite differently to how you’d think they are.
@@beforeyougotravel I think you need to research your posts, How can you give advice when you cant get the simple, basic facts right? My family is from Northumbria, and it is insulting that you have produced a video that is both incorrect and poorly researched.

An interesting insight into the area, blighted only by the abysmal pronunciation gaffes by the 'narrator'.

"How about me?" says George Stephenson

Oh, I was going to watch this and then I read your comment so didn’t bother. Cheers for the heads up👍🏻🤣
You skipped past the black house at Catcleugh reservoir. The open day tours are well worth a visit
Bam Berg Castle? It's pronounced Bambura Castle.
An-nik, not Ann wick.
Noted.
@@silgen listen again, we said an-nik

Crag side is not in the tudor style, it the arts and crafts architectural style 🤦🤦🤦
Howay man 🙈
For goodness sake get the correct pronunciation of the names

Awful computer generated commentary, that mispronounces place names. no thanks
It's human. Humans mispronounce too.
