4/1 is the same as 2m7/1 so that doesn't matter - for the 5/3 vs 5/1, just listen to your bass player and see whether he hits the 3 or the 1 and copy that. As long you like the way it sounds, than you're all good :)

are there any reason you're playing the inversion on A when you can be easier to reach the other chords if you play it in root?
Because that's how the piano player at Elevation plays it
