It's heating like any other redmi phone, and very easy to understand functions if you are a redmi user... Yet not lagging or anything battery is good quick charging but I feel as if has started draining a bit faster from last two days

You can wi-fi calls from some apps But gpay wont work as gpay gets enabled only when sim is inserted in the device
