I've been watching your videos for several years and I get really excited when you post ones of Guam and the Marianas, my island home. Great footage, acurate narrative, and your soothing voice make for a beautiful , interesting and relaxing experience. Thank you for correctly stating that we are in the Western Pacific. So often I see or hear others state incorrectly that we are in the South Pacific and I cringe. We are north of the equator; not in the south. Yes, please do visit longer next time. So much has changed since my last visit in 2011. Thank you and bon voyage!
I was there in early ‘79 and did the climb down, too. I got tricked into going into the hole behind the falls. One time I was using my 8mm camera to record looking down the falls when I leaned out to much and had to throw my camera to a friend as I dove off! The lower falls are so eroded now!
i grew up in Guam.i loved every minute of it, and miss it so dearly.I grew up in Santa Rita.i live in Wichita ks, it nothing live Guam.really dislike it here.but videosl ike yours make me happy ..thank u so much ralph pelkey

That was a sad tale about the Japanese gentleman who hid in the jungle for so many years, for fear of retribution. I think that any military service person who has engaged in a conflict can be mentally and morally unhinged. War is such a tragedy and not the answer to political differences.
Thank the Japanese for that. Less than a century ago, they had the sickly idea of creating a greater East Asia co-Prosperity Sphere. This is akin to the Third Reich's idea of a greater german reich over Europe as well.

I lived in Guam in 1979 and 1980. Talafofo Falls used to be remote and pristine. It looks like commercialization has ruined it.

In the early 80s, I had to hike to get to those falls. There were no amenities what-so-ever, and it was great!
