You're a lifesaver man, I bought one of these at a shop today for 15 dollars. Got it home to discover a belt had gone bad. Found your video and headed to my local hardware store and bought an O-ring for 58 cents. Installed it, now the machine sings like a bird and works perfectly. Thanks again!
OK, not really done. Now the "." won't strike hard enough to imprint ink. Before the belt replacement it was prone to striking multiple times (and printing) but now it seems anemic. I will throw in the towel on the $9 rescue and return it to Goodwill where someone else can work on it. Too bad. It is a nice typewriter.

Sadly, this belt assortment is discontinued (at Lowe's at least)
probably wont last as long as the originals but it appears this is our only option as these belts are no longer made.
