Drs' Rose and Kelly are the best! I have two matching scars from their great work. And I can walk again, thanks to both of them. Even though I was "too young" to have AVN, Dr. Rose found it, treated it and gave me back my life, pain free.
Thank you for sharing, Fran, and congratulations on a successful road to recovery! We'd love for you to share your experiences at HSS and with Drs. Rose and Kelly to help inspire others: www.hss.edu/backinthegame.
A pain in the groin, led me to think I ate too much. After complaining to my husband, an incredible cardiologist, he knew it was not a hernia. Sent me to a rheumatologist, who after examining me asked if I had friends who were radiologists. Next thing I knew I am Howard Anthony Rose's office for avascular necrosis - in a woman 'too young" to have this. Right after that I had a shiny new hip! The doctors and nurses, and other staff at HSS were great. I healed quickly and never looked back. Then last August in the other hip Dr. Rose sent me to Bryan Kelly for a ruptured gluteus Maximus of the hip. Back I go to HSS, again, for great help. Going to HSS is [almost as good as] taking a vacation. If you see the TH-cam with Barbara Adler who used Dr. Buly, we take Pilates classes together, and our instructor has 2 HSS hips. It was so helpful I am sending my 22 year old daughter to Dr. Kelly for 2 surgeries for FAI of the pincer. Yes, I am your favorite patient. How about a TH-cam of Barbara Adler and I doing Pilates, with our instructor!

Do residents get paid ?
yes, but its fairly average salaries (40-75k)
