Timing chain IS LIFETIME. Because when it does break, it is the end of the engine's life. Therefore lifetime timing chain.

2016 and 84 when you change your fuel filter, how do you get a pride back up with you?

Hi, I have 2012 a4 2.0T. RPM fluctuates very slightly everytime I stop, at idle, only for few seconds.. and then settles just fine. Car feels fine at load. I replaced fuel filter and spark plugs.. but didnt do anything. could you pls give advise?

How often does a fuel filter need to be changed on these? I am at 138k done Pcv valve and spark plugs, air filter, cabin filter recently.
Had a new used engine put in and it’s been more than 60k atleast on this fuel filter. Time to replace the fuel filter?

Aww, I had wanted to see you struggling to get that ring off of the pump :)
I tried to remove it to swapthe filter last summer but that didn't really go the way I wanted, so I'll first buy a new ring and gasket for the pump as the plastic is starting to get brittle.
Also, do you happen to know what kind of gas the car mostly has ran on during its lifetime?

Have no clue the fuel they used, purchased it with a bad bearing / rod knock.. or piston knocking on the cylinderhead in one of the cylinders. I had no idea but I drove too far to not bring it home. Payed too much for this parts car though. the rings usually come off easy for me, just gotta go back and forth and some penetrating oil spayed a few times in-between hammering

@@NaptownTuner Right. I switched to E5/euro98/premium whatever it's called as the engine runs a bit smoother at idle. And the fuel economy went up to an estimated 1000km+ which is around 870km real world.

Dude you brought that pump assembly in your house??? Wow..yeah we mortals know it’s a pita to remove that.. if you feel up to it would love for you to show a video on how to get the back seat out of the way and get the pump out of the tank.. maybe that junkyard Passat would be great tutorial.. so the B8 doesn’t have a canister along the frame on the passenger side, like the C5 body? Great video

Yeah, all that "lifetime" stuff is ridiculous. This is what happens when marketologist take over enginners in engineering=carmaking business. They declare all that "lifetime" literally making owners neglect the maintenance of the vehicle to bump-down monthly/yearly car maintenance costs to make it look better on paper, to compete with other brands
-"hey dummy, look, our blah-blah-blah make/model is less expencive in monthly running costs then cometititors"
-"yeah regular gas in high compression turbochaged engine is fine, don't worry about.., what detonation? What cyl7nder walls scoring? That never happens!"
-Are running/maintenance costs less then competitors because we priced parts and labor chages reasonably? No! Absolutely not! We just dont recomend you do anything other then oil chanes every 15,000 miles.
Lifetime actually means lifetime of the warranty, what happens then, nobody cares, as desired option - just go get another new car, here is 2 grand trade in for yours, as thats what you going to get for non-running car due to "lifetime" parts failure.
Land Rover claims that transmission fluid is lifetime, on other hand ZF - a manufacturer of that transmission says, eff that, do you first oil change in 60K and then every 40k...
