Lando needs his own Blog or channel. Day 1 6:30 had to wake humoons up to alert them of chipmunks in the area. 7:30 ate, sniffed , makred the area incase humoons got lost again. 8:30 humoons put me in big white box again to go. It ok, I can protect them from the bushes and trees 10:30 Humoons must be lost and scared again. They put me on point to lead big white box out of dangerous bushes….again. This happens all to often 11:00 saved hummons for 5th time today with my “barking and leading the pack to safety skillz” 11:15 back in white box and things seem safe. Time for nap before humoons need saving again. 12:30 had dream of smaller hummons that were part on pack. Sad because they must have been eaten by squirrels. Squirrels will pay. 6:30 Rest of day same as morning, humoons finally feeding me, would not need them for food but squirrels so sneaky. Hope big humoons don’t get eaten like small humoons, still have not learned opening of the can machine where they hide food. But they warm at night so I’ll let them stay.
Landow , Im not sure how you spell his name is the star of the show. What a beautiful animal with a beautiful life. I love how he runs ahead and enjoys himself. You are truly blessed. ❤
Silence, space to the horizon, lakes, forests and silence! For this fire. This is what paradise must be like. For me it is for sure. Happiness is with you. I'm jealous!
I’d watched Chad on his Vanlife channel all his episodes in his rig going up to the top of the world in the winter season a beautiful winter wonderland so it was sooo awesome to see it again through your eyes in a different season with amazing colours and wildlife. Congratulations on realising a 25 year long held dream in doing some fly fishing, panning for gold and finding your antlers amongst the many other wonderful spots you found. That swim waa the cherry on the top there’s not many in the billions of people in the world who could say they took a dip in the ocean at the top of the world! Can I say as parent myself of teenager /adult you’ve done a pretty awesome job raising your three humoons as Landon would say! Your furball kid is brilliant companion - the miles he must lay down must be epic too. I know you’ve travelled to my part of this beautiful planet New Zealand - at the bottom the world. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences. You all are a pretty special family… much Aroha (love ❤) and Kia Kaha (Keep strong)
Thank you for the beautiful views, my late husband for love your off the highway, and I was the one warning him how unsave it was, but at 84 yr old I’m enjoying watching you two traveling like I can only dream of!
Really enjoy your videos. Appreciate the beautiful background music. When you look at a painting that's truly beautiful you can get a glimpse of the character of the artist. When I see the mountains, forest ,lakes and rivers I get a glimpse of the glory of God. And last but not least the relationship that you both enjoy and Lando too! Thank you!
What a way to wake up, this is literally heaven on earth, I just love the way Lando sat down by the lake to enjoy paradise ❤️❤️❤️thank you for sharing.
Hello my sweets. What magnificent views! I never get tired of it. That dirt/gravel road, on your way back from Telegraph Creek, was kind of scary. But looking at the scenery across, from that high point, was wonderful. Each camp site has an unique look. I can't say that one was nicer than the other, that's impossible! I love them all! Thank you for letting us be part of this awesome adventure. God bless and keep you safe! (Lando, I almost named my new puppy after you. But I changed my mind, because there's only one Lando, and that's you!) Big hugs for all of you! I can't hardly wait to be on the road again with you!
Another great one! Love Lando's video-bombing in the Jeep, loping along in booties and standing vigil at the tree with birds (reminding me of my last Samoyed, Gidget). Campfire cooking - especially with cast iron - always a nice scene. Spectacular mountains, rivers and lakes making me even more inspired for a month or two exploring BC. The Dempster Highway to the Arctic is intimidating, think I'd be way more comfortable doing the far north with two vehicles and three or four fellow travelers. You all have made many "trips-of-a-lifetime" and this one must rank pretty high on the favorites list. At least Top Twenty. As always, thanks for sharing the adventure!
Wow! This trip just keeps getting more beautiful as you guys roll along! Absolutely loved the small towns visited that are off in the wilderness! Thanks for bringing us such great content. Someday I'm going to get up and see those towns!
At the video mark of 6:37, that solitary sound of the water lapping at the lake shore triggered fond memories of long long ago and the many years our family enjoyed the lakes in Texas. I had to rewind and listen to those 10 seconds several times. In my next life, I want to be born, raised, and die at an old age in beautiful British Columbia. Loving this empty nest series, but would enjoy watching you wash dishes as well. Thanks for sharing. Safe travels!
Thank you all for taking us on your journeys and places we can only dream about. The scenery is always beautiful. PS, Always enjoy Lando having a good time as well.
Epic! Great to see the area from a different set of eyes. Itchy Boots just passed thru that area this summer as well on her motorbike. Definitely on my bucket list of places to adventure too in the future.
So hard to describe how much we enjoy your videos. We are off grid campers and can’t wait to explore north west Canada and Alaska. Again thanks for taking us along.
I’m in the middle of a camping trip, and I keep reminding myself to stop watching this beautiful video and go finish my own adventure first. Those images are absolutely spectacular!
Traveling with you guys has been an amazing experience for me. I prepared my Jeep to be anke to do sons of these travels. Thank you for your generosity in taking all of us with you. I love Lando..what a gorgeous 🐕! Safe travels and God bless! Oh and mot the least..the mouth watering cooking Karen prepares!!
Remarkable video, sound, scenery, history; & nature cooperating with you as you travel down the road. Leaving the Yukon and into the wilds and wonder of BC. I'm happy for you travelers & thank you for sharing what you do, with us. (I have been in parts of BC, but not into the Yukon).
Well on this lovely rainy Monday I just got back from my trip about a day ago still trying to dry everything out it rained for four days straight and arrow and up to 55 mile an hour winds so I thought I’d catch up on your last two videos the scenery is awesome ok 👌🏼🔥🤠🔥Camping Russ out
That was amazing! When you were driving on the scariest road ever an you came to that old town, i couldn't believe it!!! So nice! Beautiful scenery and camp spots. Glad your kids are coming home. Thank you
I'm a self professed homebody. I never was in my younger years, but fear, anxiety and cargiving for my parents, plus covid definitely changed my life. I SO enjoy watching your families adventures. I feel a little silly admitting I'm happier in my "nest" , but I thank you for allowing us all in to be a part of your adventures!
As beautiful and scenic these wild places are, they also look lonely and cold as hell to me. I can’t imagine being one of the first pioneers/settlers in the early 19th century discovering those places on horseback with the bitter wind and chill in their faces and feeling anything but desolate. The gloom in those trees are certainly telling the uninitiated to keep moving on. Thank god for 21st century technology. We have no idea today how primeval Nature really is in our forgetful romancing hearts. I love these types of videos.
Every week I sit in awe and wonder as you share the wide big world of Gods handiwork!!! I’m about to retire and can’t wait to go visit places as well!!!!😊
Excellent video, 2015 we had made the adventurous road to Telegraph Creek staying overnight in our TC next to the resort lodge. In the morning I was able to photograph two eagles sitting on lower branches of one of the trees. The part in the canyon road that you came in on is also known as "The little Grand Canyon of BC."
Thank you for another wonderful video. My doggie died a year and a half ago. Lando reminds me so much of her.(blue tick hound) She loved running with the truck. Always watched when traveling. Lando you are an added bonus. Your editing is really good. I’m fortunate I found your channel.
I have loved watching this entire Yukon/Empty Nest series, but I was seriously hoping the kids would surprisingly show up at the end. Thanks for sharing your epic adventure!!!
awesome video series i love the Canadian north and will probably never get there but though your camera lens i feel like I'm right there with you guys' thanks for taking us a long on this epic journey up north
Awesome and beautiful😀Thanks for taking me along on your journey😀 Love the outdoors and awesome footage. Scary road but lovely small town hidden away. Sooo so nice. Thank you again and Safe Travels😇
Your EFRT-Empty Nest Edition has been awesome to watch. I am sure you miss the kids, but they are having their own adventures and you have taken your audience to some beautiful places. I only wish I could camp in some of the remote spots you have been to, but our travel trailer is too big to allow us to get really far off the beaten path. Thanks for what you are doing. My husband and I love to watch your adventures.
Lol nawwwww Lando bird stalking lol nah so precious to watch. Thank you for sharing with us and showing us what it’s like to travel. Something I’m unable to do at the moment but I sort of am travelling with yous, bless you my dear friends, big hugs and love from your kiwi NZ famz ❤️❤️❤️
A little red wine in the short ribs would be great! I buy a box of Rhône wine, an excellent blend, and it travels well and doesn’t oxidize. Lovely meal! Thank you again for a wonderful treat, a Sunday treasure.
Beautiful BC. Just fantastic views and trails. I wonder if Lando was watching over the little birds to protect them? You can see the excitement building when you talk about the your children as you get closer to reconnecting with them!
It’s such a neat occurrence, that as world travellers, both yourselves and Itchy Boots have posted on visiting Atlin. She is Alaska bound on her Honda, and you are south bound. Happy trails ! 🌲🤙
Traveling to Telegraph Creek you pass an section of the Stikeen River known as the “Grand Canyon” of BC. To walk down the trail to the overlook gives you amazing views of why it is called this. Also you could have enjoyed an amazing camping on the shores of the river if you had traveled down to Glenora …Telegraph Creek area is a very intense an amazing area to explore! The road along the cliff sides high above the river are not for the faint of heart….

This is such a great comment! We really enjoyed reading it and got a good laugh. You’re right, he does need his own channel. 🐕 🐾

Salmon looks awesome! Hoping to make it to the music festival in Atlin some year. The lake, reportedly, can get highly choppy. Beautiful area👍🇨🇦😎📷🌊🐾
