Grew up there in the seventies. Lived in the Court house. My parents started the museum and owned the Tarahne at one time. This is awesome thank you. I haven’t been back in awhile. I just published my memoir of growing up there. Atlin Where Everyone Knows Your Dogs Name 😁thanks again I really enjoyed this.

Hello, I live in Alaska and I have Gold Jewelry Nuggets by a person name J.Eggert. The Jewelry Stamps say Atiln wich has brought me to you tube. This Jewelry has been passed down through 4 generations and I would love to know if anyone may know this Jeweler. I' was told by my Grandmother that the Jewelry was the only thing left after his house burned down. This story has been told for 4 generations and I would love to know more if possible? Thanks

I got to go on vacation there when I was a kid. I got my dog from the mayor and he drew me a picture for my birthday. I’ll never forget that he was a good man.

@ Atlin in unincorporated and does not have nor has ever had a mayor. Maybe it was one of the colorful old timers.

the 100 miles from Whitehorse to Atlin was dirt road when I was there, was an old man still mining up in Discovery...

@@Chad-gr3rz that must of have been a long time ago. The AK Highway side was paved in the 70’s and the Atlin Road was chip sealed in the late 80’s

I didn’t see a bar,, hard to imagine a frontier town without one !
However seems like everyone is sleeping it off after an exciting night’s partying,, saw almost no one up and about yet. Is Myles and Denise Fuller living up there

How’s the weather there? Is it colder than lower bc? More rain?

Colder but not more rain that I remember. It's a beautiful place and I didn't find the winter's too long. Winter is a special time: very peaceful.

That region is considered Sub-arctic. It's only half hour drive from Yukon border significantly colder than lower mainland
