I don't know why people have a problem with black cats they are the best I mean I think they are the coolest guys ever I've always loved black cats I didn't even realize that there was a problem adopt getting them adopted until recently that's stupid

When we first rescued him he was a bit wild and wanted to go outside but now he refuses to leave our home.

My cat is exactly the same as Leonard. I found her under a Cherry tree (hence we named her Cherry). She was a tiny kitten, but she jumped up on my shoulders and purred. She stayed right there while my dog and I continued our walk. I took her back home, and as soon as she saw my husband, she scrambled from my shoulder into his arms. From that day to this, she only has purrs for him. That's gratitude for you!
I'm glad the person who chose to move to a place that doesn't allow cats had family who stepped up. So many don't and so many animals are either dumped, abandoned or surrendered because of it. Think it through, folks. If you decide to adopt an animal, consider its lifespan and whether or not you can support that. I can appreciate that things change, but adopting an animal is a huge life commitment. Treat it that way.
Seriously, though, if a place doesn't allow your animal then don't move there! I would never give up my babies.

You know what I think really won him over? Showing him all those cool birds outside. Cats love being high up, so daddy-o being taller probably raised him up higher.
My heart and soul cat for 19 years was a black cat, Mooch. I have no words to describe how specialhe was. People who are afraid are missing out on one of life's great gifts!

I love black cats. I have a dark gray cat right now, strictly indoor. but I’m feeding a black feral cat. She, at least I think it’s a girl, comes by every morning around 6am to get her can of food. And then around 5 or 6 to get a bowl of dry food. She is so beautiful.

That’s so cool that Leonard came from a rescue that allowed people to rehome. With most of them, that would’ve been a violation of the contract, the cat could’ve been seized legally, and the signer of the contract sued.

Ironically enough what I wanted the most is a black cat. They're just so majestic looking and regal but all of the cats that the distribution system gave me are the other color patterns that you could name of - pure white, calico, all shades of orange (pure, white/orange), grey tabby, tuxedo. Until my snowshoe siamese gave birth to 1, just only one pure black kitten and I'm so overjoyed because now I can confidently say that I have adopted all color patterns of cats during my days here on earth

Putting in the positive work produces pretty fantastic outcomes. Nicely done dad. Leonard is smart and beautiful with a very strong personality and character. Just like us, he loves his independence, family, affection, love, and fun times. Looks like he chooses dad more now because he put in the time. Mom just needs to do the same. A little healthy competition is great but so is being fair, patient and giving all the family kitty therapy time. It’s amazing what great characteristics and plenty of other things they can teach us if we pay close attention. ❤

Bombay cats were developed in the USA in the 50s to resemble a panther (Burmese sable x American black shorthair). My Suzie Midnight 🐈⬛❤ plays tennis with me ie she lies on her side, I roll a ball and she flicks it back to me. She was a scrawny stray who walked in one day....three years ago. Yes, she can be a slasher, but equally a lap cat. She sleeps on my feet. Please don't overlook black cats; they are sweet, talkative and loyal - and sooooo beautiful.

My black Bombay is awesome. She wakes me in the morning by either cuddling on my chest, too, or sticking her head by my ear and meowing really loudly. Also one of the cool things, is I can take out for walks, no leash, and she knows how to say “out”
