Heather, I am so sorry to hear of the devastation in your area. I can't begin to imagine. You must be gentle with yourself, like you were upset you didn't have internet and felt badly about it. But don't, society has changed and we must rely on internet, social media, cell phones to communicate with the outside outside world (whether we like it or not) You stated at the beginning you don't why God spared you. I believe it was because God needed people like you to be a beacon of hope to your community. I'm sure your opening comments reached a lot of people... those who had lost so much and needed some compassionate words. But also those of us that live far from the devastation of Hurricane Helene, letting us know that our help is needed. No matter our circumstances, we can all do SOMETHING for your neighbors. Will you please post where money can be sent that will go directly to the victims. Every dollar will help. Thank you for sharing your touching commentary. PS: on a lighter note, when you showed your project with the IOD moulds before and after the hurricane, I thought you were going to vouch for the quality of IOD moulds. Like "look they can even survive a hurricane". Lol. Please send that video to the IOD Sisters. You never know what blessings may come if they choose to share that. Would make a heartfelt plea to our Crafting Community and Family. One last thing, a little lecture for you my new friend... stop apologizing during your video for what you say naturally, repeat, etc. We all need to allow ourselves a little grace. You are a strong, gifted, compassionate, resilient, and brave woman. I am still trying to muster up the courage to start a YT channel. But look at you girl, you're doing it. All the glory to God! Stay safe, take care of yourself (mind body and spirit) and most of all be gentle with yourself! Sorry this was so long, but as an RN of 38 years, having served in many specialties, my greatest love being Psych/ Mental Health. It is as important if not more so, than physical wellbeing. My philosophy is "none of has to be sick to get better". Please don't think I'm saying you are Mentally Ill or anything to the sort. Just reminding everyone we must be mindful of our Mental Health in good times and in the devastating times. The darkness is real. Lastly on a humerous note...I almost fell off the sofa in laughter, "the UPS man just came so i had to put a bra on, the dogs started barking with excitement". The bra is going on, fun things are ahead for us! 😂 I thought i was the only one who kept and emergency bra handy. Lol! May God Bless You! You have certainly blessed me today! ❤ ❤🙏🙏🥺 From a now life long fan and supporter!
@debbiethompson224 omgoodness!!! I needed to hear (see?) every single one of these words! Thank your for following that small still voice that encouraged you to write this. I don't know if you saw my first video (not short) where I'm pretty much forcing myself to do this, but a lot of what you just said reminded me of how I felt then. I was a little bit of a nervous wreck! As for the devastation that is so close to home, I really do think that finding a church in the local area is the best way to get money to those people directly. I have heard that Samaritan's Purse is doing a very good job in getting almost all of their donations right to those in need. Not at all did I take what you were saying as something against my mental health. I get it! You are absolutely right. I appreciate your words and I will think about them and learn from them on my next video and many after! Thank you so very much for taking the time to write this. You have a blessed night ❤️
Love the wreathes I want to make birds nest now I know how😮
Make sure to use a Dollar-Tree-Doo-Hickee-Thing 😂
