A good way to get a better impression of a paw print is by putting the clay on a piece of saran wrap or something similar then put it on the floor. Put one front paw in that while you lift the opposite front paw. This will put the weight of the dog on the one you are trying to print and you will get a much better print. Hope this makes sense to you.
These are all such lovely projects thanks for sharing your talent. Here is a little tip from a fellow clay worker. Put a thin piece of plastic wrap or bag over the clay before cutting it out and it will round out your edges beautifully without distorting the center design.
Great tip, thank you! Question- would it also be a good idea to put a parchment/wax paper down under it? It looks like they got distorted and stretched a little as she picked them off the glass also
Love all of them. My favorite is the little houses - I think. They're all so lovely, it's difficult to choose, but right now I have a "thing" for house shapes.
Wow. What a good idea. I love this method. They are very pretty. I used a butterfly stamp in the clay. It turned out nice. I just had to smooth the edges with a finger sander.
These are incredibly beautiful and the way you made some of your own tools is just plain smart. I love the deer and the house. Well, it's hard to not just love them all. So very smart. 🌲🌲🌲🌲
I LOVE how you used everyday items to press into the clay to make each one unique! So clever! I might try this with some polymer clay. I like to bake my clay. I'm not keen on painting all the little spaces, but I love the idea of painting it all, them take the paint off the raised areas! ♥️🎄⛄❄️🦌
What a Superb Collection! And little George's Paw, aww, he was really excited about that!😹😻😉 I think the houses and a couple others would look good as Rectangles .. or Squares, Diamonds .. wow, the possibilities are really endless! Thank you for jolting my ole grey matter once again 😁🤩💡✔️🌟🆒
very nice, I did this 10 years ago as part of keeping our psychiatric patients busy, colored them with Distress sprai stains, it is good to see it again, kinda reminds me to try again. thank you
It’s lovely to watch you work, and the pieces are lovely. If it were me I would just be in an excited flow playing with the material. Love when that happens
So inspirational - gonna break out my DAS, stamps, etc and see what comes from it. What's cool about your circles with the stars and snowflakes is (a) the fact you put 2 on one disc and (b) you can use these for gel printing too! So much fun thank you. May you and yours have a fun Christmas and a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year
😱 omg you are so brilliant! your ornements in clay are SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!😍 THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR your sharing!. I think i will make two dozens of them!!! Thank you so much!❤❤❤
Love the use of the glass items. I also like to use the press cookie cutters with patterns. You can get them really cheap at local craft stores toward the end of the holiday season with plenty of time to make more ornaments. Ornaments make great gift tag presents too! Thanks for sharing your wonderful ideas.
Thank you so much Claire, I really really enjoyed watching you create all these amazing pieces and I really really ❤❤❤❤❤ them all. Please stay safe and well too xxxx Mags ❤❤❤
What a wonderful video. You've explained a lot of things I was wondering about. I can't wait to start creating some beautiful ornaments. Thank you sooo much. You've so creative. ❤
These are amazing! There's so many I love - I can't pick a favorite. George's paw is the sweetest, and the rolling pins look amazing. Great video, thank you ❤🤍💚
Have to say this was such a fun video. Its 1030 pm and Im doing my claure time before i close my eyes. Thank you for making me smile and sweet dreams to you and yours..❤😊
After an evening doing technical art using Resin, I am thrilled to know I have loads of this air dry clay to use tomorrow. One’s home can usually have interesting things to use for making these or any other clay projects. I may use resin to drip down in the crevices I made. Acrylic Paints; endless, and safe craft ideas. Thanks for more inspiration!
This is an excellent video, and I love the way you used so many things to make them ❤️. I am so inspired to try this now, so a VERY BIG THANK YOU Claire .

We have 2 cats. I think only one has enough excess weight to make an impression. (Hmph😊 she makes an impression all right!)

I usually smooth the edges of the dried piece with fine sand paper, nail files or fine files for the small circles. It's an extra step but looks good.
