Ian is technically right, about 2 years old. The WHO recommends breastfeeding babies/toddlers until 6 months to 2 years old for optimal growth, development and health. There is a page about it on the WHO website.
It' s common knowledge where i lived
Fetuses get their antibodies from the mother, and infants don’t start producing their own antibodies until they’re about 6 months old. Infants can continue to get antibodies from the mother through breast milk during this time, and at 6 months they are old enough for most vaccines to be effective.
The WHO also brought Aids into Africa

When Kimmy said “Whys Smosh called that?” I can’t be the only one who actually knew the answer. Back in highschool one of Ian & Anthony’s friend accidentally called a “mosh pit” a “smosh pit”. And they thought that was hilarious and it stuck.

You are actually supposed to breastfeed until 2 so Ian’s right. It’s just not that often done in developed countries because it’s pretty difficult and often much easier for moms to just completely shift to regular foods.
So exclusive breastfeeding for the first 6 months and then reducing it over time until 2.

Ian out here normalising breastfeeding beyond infancy. (The WHO recommends breastfeeding for a minimum of 2 years)
im pretty sure it’s a maximum of 2 years, not minimum
@@natalierudnick8487 no it's a minimum of two years according to WHO. Babies are exclusively breastfed for the first 6 months then you introduce solids and then you continue to breastfeed until they are 2. There isn't actually a maximum age but children generally begin to self wean around 2/3 years old and by that age you are usually doing short feeds sometimes just before bed for example.
i think Ian and I would get along very well cause my best friend and I without fail after the boring "so how was your week" small-talk always just end up talking about total bummer conversations very passionately lmao.
