What a phenomenal performance! Plácido was sublime - as was Ekaterina Semenchuk. Great René Pape, great Daniel Barenboim. An evening to treasure forever!

I love it when you post these curtain call vids of the Great Domingo getting his rightful due, a lengthy standing ovation, along with his cast mates and the wonderful Maestro Barenboim. Great to see the wonderful Rene Pape as well! I love it when the audience gets louder and applauds harder and yell Bravo Placido when he does his solo call. Barenboim is adorable - when he looks out at the audience, he knows what they really want and so he delivers: more Placido for them to lavish with applause. It's not the first time either. I've seen many instances where Barenboim has to fight with Placido to make him take a bow by himself. Same with Mehta. LOL And the way he has to do it, because we all know Placido has a hard time taking all the adoration by himself, so Barenboim has to force him to. Simply delightful! These always cheer me up big time! Thanks again young lady! Paz y salud.
