Baba ( Emeritus Professor Banji Akintoye) has enumerated the actual facts about restructuring and how the people mooting the ideas are not sincere. Baba also pointed out the fact that the major problem of restructuring is that the power that be in Nigeria do not want it even now just as they have always been opposing it. He added that those opposing restructuring have not reduced in influence rather they have increased in power and influence. This Fulani power block has entrenched themselves more in holding on to the jugular of the country Nigeria. They are also backed up by the neocolonialist (British) who has been supporting them from the onset over other ethnic nationalities in Nigeria. In recent times, Britain has also been able to win USA on her side to support the Fulanis. So right now, the forces against the restructuring of Nigeria especially when the Fulani are not in support of it are as strong as ever if not more.
I also wish to add that restructuring even if it is allowed, cannot solve the Yoruba major problems: of existential threat and the ongoing ethnic cleansing that is being carried out by the Fulanis via systematic killings of our people and creating fear into the heart of the Yorubas through insecurity leading to inability to grow food on our soil resulting in cost of living crisis. Our youths are leaving the country in drones to look for safety and greener pastures.
Yoruba Nation is the only answer to our peculiar problems if we must exist and develop like other modern nations of the world.
Therefore, Yoruba Nation, no going back! And Yoruba Nation Self Determination Movement (YSDM) is the way.
