Fun to see what you found on the beach. I did my first beach hunting last week in York beach, Maine. The sand is way easier than digging the sod I'm used to around me in Western NY. Keep diggin!
Found my first wedding band recently myself, after a couple of years doing this hobby. On a beach in Florida I found a 14k wedding band. Sounded like and numbers showed to be a pull tab or a nickel. Thought that’s what it was. Once the sand sifted away and saw that glimmer of gold. Woohoo!
@@Themetaldetectingguy Last month I was detecting on Lake Michigan and was digging blind as the detector was faulting out on all targets, due to an underlying layer of black sand, 2 to 4 inches thick. So every target came up a 39 to 40 and indicated deep, when in reality they were only 4 to 6 inches down on average.
Making 💰 and a very nice ring find ! 😀 Thanks for sharing your adventures .
Thanks for watching 😀
really Awesome hunt.. Congrats on the ring and Clad..
Thanks it was a fun hunt

That’s cool, no feeling like that first glimpse of gold
I feel ya! I finally decided to just stop looking for gold rings and just listen for pulltabs. I figure my new strategy's gotta pay off, right?
Right 👍
Great strategy!! I might try that. I’m looking for pull tabs.
I LOVE my 540, it's an awesome machine
It is 👍
@@Themetaldetectingguy I need to try it in the sand
Absolutely, but get a bigger scoop than I have , mines too small
Hey , perfect silver , beautiful beach🙂
Thanks, it’s a great beach
@@Themetaldetectingguy yes , see you later.
Good vid! Cool finds!
Thanks, it was a fun one
Nice metal detecting video
Thanks 👍
When you get a triple hit, it means the coin is a shallow or surface target. Also beware of black sand. it can mess up your location and depth.
Thanks for the tips, we have a lot of black sand here and I often have depth issues so that’s explains a lot, thanks 👍

I get the same thing often around these parts with the black sand, thanks for explaining it to me, I thought my vanquish was having issues. 👍
What state are you hunting in? I'm in Wilmington Nc.
What a great area of the country, I’m in Rochester New York, thanks for watching 👍
It's great dude ,been here since 95.I did pretty good on the beach this year,70 rings ,12 were gold.
That’s amazing , I have quite a few but not anything close to that
@@Themetaldetectingguy I'm using the nox 800 ,its a beast.
