It's absolutely ridiculous that you've got to do this to play ubisoft games. If you buy the game on steam that's it it should just work!

Division 1 worked for about 70 hrs and G.R.Wildlands for about 15hrs. Then the started freezing up and now Uplay wont even let them load. Completely unplayable. Not to mention Ubisoft Connect won't really work either. Total crap!

My layout looked a bit diffirent than yours. I couldnt find the "Look in" section. Turns out i didnt have "hidden files" checked so I couldnt see those .files youwere talking about. Other than that it was a very informative video thank you
For when you posted this it would be a great video but since steam had to change their ui for the 10th time it’s very difficult for me to find what I need to do after downloading it and adding the installer to steam

Under Combatibility it wont let me check the box

I installed AC Valhalla via the HGL, and after setting up the Ubi launcher it said I need to download it or _locate_ the game if it's already installed. I had it install to my SD card but I'm unable to navigate to it because I see no option for it. I'm fairly new again to Linux.
In the Launch Options box under properties add this text: STEAM_COMPAT_MOUNTS=/run/media/mmcblk0p1/ %command%
After that you should be good to go!
Can't seem to find root when i type home/deck 😢

2:56 i dont have home/deck/Steam
It's hiden.. click on three dots at right side and enable hidden files. After that u wil see . Local>share>steam>steam>comptdata> and choose the drive c. X86 follow til I see the Ubisoft launcher
What if we have a game missing?
It shows me the demo for a game, but not the game itself-- which I purchased.
how do I know if my games are installing to the Micro SD card? Thanks.
You can check it by going to settings and then scroll down to fine storage, there you should be able to see what you have installed in your SD card and what in your steam deck.

I can't install any games , I changed the installation folder to my SD card

Ubisoft connect recently updated the launcher and it broke steam deck use, do you have or know of a fix for this?

I got the same problem with ubisoft games. Up until 3 days ago I could play almost every assassin's creed game, I had also 85 hours on odyssey, but now ubisoft won't even connect to launch the games. Does anyone else has this problem? Should I download ubisoft connect to play the games again?

How to fix the screen resolution?
I changed the resolution using the in game settings to 1280x 800
I had to press steam+L2 to right click people
after setting it to proton experimetal and hitting play it says i cant start the game
I went back into the Ubisoft folder and selected Ubisoftconnect.exe instead of Ubisoft launcher.exe and it worked
@@tucson221 Thank you - this worked for me!! I had a suspicion while installing that I should have selected "connect" instead of "launcher". Makes more sense.

Try switching Proton over to the latest version instead of using experimental
@@GameplayManiaOfficial i did that also ip change to static proxy unchecked etc. Nothing Works..
I saw on reddit that there are a bunch of people having this same problem and there doesn't seem to be a universal fix unfortunately. To potential "fixes" I saw were connecting your Steam Deck to a mobile hotspot or running your games in offline mode.
@@GameplayManiaOfficial thks. Hotspot works but i cant download any games due to my data limit.
Do you have a usb hub? Maybe connecting it to Ethernet would work to download?
