So one of the things we missed and not sure if anyone’s mentioned this yet but in Rosé’s part of the chorus when she says “keep watching me shut it down”, she’s also bending the word ‘shut it down’ and saying ‘shutter down’ - so it would also be “keep watching me shutter down” and you hear the shutter’s slam - which is also blackpink saying, keep watching me as we put your shutter’s down as in run you outta business because theyre gonna shut it down! 😮😆 cool word play!

Yg lyricists make so many korean word plays which is hard to give eng translation. Like example bigbang.You can't find real translation for half of their songs because of their wordplays.Even koreans find it hard to figure out.

According to urban dictionary, 205 "is a term used when a subject is introduced as if new, yet everyone else has heard of it previously". So my take on the use of it in the lyrics is that everyone has heard of BP and their music for years, but now they're debuting a new sound that's fresh and experimental, making it as if you're discovering them again for the first time. This song has been on non-stop for me. And I appreciate your explanation of the lyrics, it helps bring new meaning to the entire song beyond the visual translation!

Showing all their previous mv and how everyone of them were a success but the price of success isn’t cheap. To be where they are, they had to make so many sacrifices from a very young age, face so much hate, discrimination, people underestimating them and disregarding their success and now they are the best in the game. this is so helpful as someone who can’t speak or understand korean. the english subtitles are sometimes wack or straightforward and the explanations along with the translations is so great and brings so many new meanings to all of the lyrics and visuals. you both do so well with delivering such coherent meanings on everything.

If we referenced on the lyrics that jennie said - "its not a comeback, we did not leave anyway" and lisa's line "its not a game since we've never lost" - it is like the blackpink car has never stopped anyway, we were continously cruising...we are on a constant speed...but now, the pedal is floored...meaning hitting the gas , so they go immediately to 205...just like in car races, the car is reved up, once they hit the gas pedal they speed up that the competion only see dust. thus the competition see only the dust that blackpink leave behind. that's how i understand it.
