  • Flat Water Fran, by Phil Cunningham.
A beautiful piece of music and hope our iphone video footage does it some justice. It's not professionally recorded and there is some background noise i've tried to reduce. It is just a mobile phone recording.
Flat Water Fran is tune i picked up from Phil and Aly's Cd's and from playing in sessions in Aberdeen. It's a great waltz for a ceilidh band as well.

A lovely performance of a tune that is popular over here on the west coast too among our session players, Charlie. I like the pace you play at here - it brings out the melody beautifully.

I’m nae sure fa is in the paintings, it might be descendants of the Forbes family. The first Baronet and his 2 sons.
      It’s a bonnie place.
