- How to work with the Egyptian deity Thoth in deity work is the topic on todays video! Deity work for beginners has always been a tough route to take. But on The Lunar Witch, I do my best to ensure everyone gets a basic understanding of how to work with deities. Deities for beginners is never a simple matter. But, understand that Thoth is an amazing deity. A lot of Egyptian deities such as Thoth are really amazing to work with. whether youre a beginner witch looking for some beginner witch tips, or youre just someone coming in to enjoy the video, in Egyptian Mythology, The god Thoth is super interesting! Thoth also like Yooperlite. Yooperlite's magical properties match perfectly with him. He has accepted a nice tower of Yooperlite.
I consider Thoth to be a very strict teacher, with a very absolutist stance on morality, especially in how his knowledge is to be used.
He has high standards for serious students, but is tolerant of others, like a Sufi Master. He doesn't pass over errors, but has the power to excuse some unintentional offenses if they are corrected. He's not lenient, but is usually kind.
Thank you for your video. African deities are the foundation for most American metaphysical concepts. Be sure to show respect for African People who gave the world the concepts. Thoth wants Africans around the planet to be thanked and respected. Be certain to mention that. He will elevate those who respect the people he first engaged.
When I the emerald tablets, and red about don't share the secret to the people of the north, I somehow new it was about us, Africans. It's sad by the way, that today we are the least 😢

Right … there is a connection with whom we now know today as “Egyptians” right? I’ve been trying hard to work this out. Seems the biblical texts reveal Kind David marrying Bathsheba (African/ Egyptian although her heritage has been hidden) must have given birth to the Hebrew people. The story of Abraham making a baby with Hagar is also significant.
This is not to be taken literally because 1) The North Star was different back then 2) Humanity was in much earlier stages. The people in the north then are very different to now. They may have been meaning secret people of Antartica. Either way I don’t think you should take this personally. Keep searching. You will find your way.

In the Emerald Tablets, Thoth himself says he was Atlantean. He fled Atlantis as it fell and landed in the Nile river valley when man was still cavemen. He grew the Egyptian civilization and built the Great Pyramid and the Sphinx, where he left a collection of Atlantis' history in a cavern under the front left paw. He mentions his father in the tablets as well....

I put up a altar for Thoth today so its ironic I ran across this video. I used my pendulum to ask him some questions. And I asked him would he like some bacon he automatically said no. I asked him for bread and the yes was so strong the pendulum almost fell out my head. Lol however Anubis was excited about the bacon so that made me feel a little better about being rejected lol. Thanks for this video. Im going to look for some blue candles for him.

I only found this video today. I was looking for this information. Years ago in meditation I enterde an astral library. Thoth sat at the central table, got up and hugged me, welcoming me back. Up to this point I never considered deity work, much less Egyptian deities. Still quite clueless.
I felth Thoth strongly. I offered up a prayre to Thoth to help me gain a love for reading again and to help me with reading the book of the dead and I am flying through it. Im even reading two books at once. I want to write him something special in hyroglyths. A small prayre or something simple as an offering.

Huh I've been using a lot of blue in my grimoire lately. And just today I was thinking about The Lion King and then I remembered Refiki when I saw this.
I was thinking earlier after doing a lot of linguistic/writing system research and how almost every writing system on Earth descended from Egyptian Hieroglyphs/Phoenician. Yes, not all of them, but certainly a lot from Latin to Greek to Arabic to Hindi. Seeing how rooted Egypt is in the history of writing made me wonder why don't we worship Thoth. So I looked it up and there's people out there that do!

@@casmartin1314 I'm talking about the writing of different languages. I never said anything about Hinduism. It's widely accepted in linguistics that Hieroglyphics and it's child systems are the ancestors of most alphabets and abjads we have today. Latin script, Greek script, Arabic script, Hebrew script, Cyrillic script, Devanagari and many other Indic scripts, just to name a handful. On Wikipedia you can pull up their article and see Hieroglyphics or Phoenician under parent scripts.

I wanna work with him to protect my book of shadows and to bless my work to make it neat I plan on writing a shanty for him soon but I want to do something a little bit more. My craft has grown a lot recently and I think Thoth might be the reason why. I work with pop culture and music and tea magic in the morning mostly I like to do bloats to the characters and dieties I work with I believe Thoth has givin me that knowledge for my practice since I was having a hard time figuring out when to do spells now I finally know my system.

serious question, how are you working with deities from different pantheons without them getting jealous and upset
I don't work with all the deities I do videos on, my main deities I work with in my craft are Anubis, Horus, Apollo, Artemis, Hades, and Hecate. These other deities are me doing research to help those who have been drawn to these deities. Thoth is one of those deities I've asked help from when I am drawn in his direction, but I haven't actually worked with him. I've only asked for his help when my craft needed it in return for an offering. All other info from videos like this come from people who I ask who have worked with him or work with him in general!
ALSO to answer your question my apologies, ask the deities youre already working with if they are okay with working with a deity from another pantheon. You can do this through a pendulum, reading smoke, reading wax, tarot, or even candle flames. But always ask your deity or deities if they would like to work with another pantheon if someone else has claimed you. If its no, you have to respect it. If its a yes, then start to research said deity so that you can start setting up a proper altar and so on! I would also even ask even if it is of the same pantheon because some deities dont work well together!
The different pantheons are really just the same Gods, it all depends on how the people of the specific time and place needed them. For example- Jupiter as Zeus is obvious, but his connections to the Vedic Dyaus Pater and the Norse Tyr are also plausible. This is similar to how me, as a male, am many different roles to many different people. Some call me grandson, some brother, another one calls me father. I am not one of these but all of them simultaneously and yet I am me, the one that none of the above know my true identity. The Greeks related Thoth to Hermes, not trying to state the obvious but just in case you weren't aware. This means Thoth isnt Thoth nor is he Hermes but both and also something else only he truly knows. Himself.

Hello, you did a video a bit ago on candle meanings and this like that. I had a question. I lit a 7 day money candle that I personally dressed, prayed over and wrote a petition for. But, it keeps going out what dies that mean? It went out twice and I re-lit it. Thank you in advance.
I'm conflicted and need help. The other week I was just getting back into the craft because I needed a wind down. Anyway when I lit both my dieties candles it was strange.the candles i have for Anubis had strong steady flames. Whilst lokies were flickering I did pendulum and everything was fine j just got alot confused. I know the difference between their energies but I felt a little weird about it

Hi, there, I recently found your channel while looking up info on Thoth. I have a question for you and your viewers. I recently watched (listened to, actually) a video about the prophecies of Thoth, history, etc. An odd experience came out of that and I asked at that channel (no replies), but I suspect it's a more academic channel... and I need insights from a mystical, dream-world and energy point of view. Below is the comment I posted, I would be interested if anyone can give me their thoughts:
"Okay, so I've been kind of hesitant to mention this, but.. 🙂. When I'm in bed I tend to avoid listening to videos about mysticism or videos about changing the way you think (dealing with problems or adversity; changing habits; even self-improvement...maybe "learn while you sleep" videos might be the exception) and even some meditations, because I would like to be awake and paying attention, a) to listen and learn, and b) in case I feel there's something questionable that I don't want going into my psyche when I'm not paying attention.
So, of course I was excited to listen to this, and I was in bed and I konked out. 😁
Ever since (2-3 wks) I've been having vivid dreams. That's fine, because I always used to and then they kind of went away. However these dreams are not a lot of fun. Not super creepy/not quite scary although the first couple dreams were (can't remember any details now)... Maybe "alarming" would be a better word. I find it annoying and disruptive.
Any thoughts on why that might have happened? I feel a bit leery to listen to the video now, even while in a physically awake state.

Did you have trouble ever identifying the difference between the presence of Thoth and Anubis? I am not sure if it I have just not been clear enough with intent or if I have missed something. All I can identify is a very tall black Male figure with a calming presence. I had thought it might be Anubis, but now I am not so sure.
