I have just gotten my machine ( husband brought for my birthday 31st October 2021) you have helped me so much with setting up my new toy have never had a machine like this before aBIG THANK YOU
Thank you for the detailed overview of the S9! I’ve had this puppy for a few years and your video has helped me get right into the embroidery aspect! 🙏✨
I really appreciate your camera work. I can see everything you're talking about. I'm looking forward to hearing more about machine embroidery. Are you planning on doing any videos on the software or apps that work with the S9? Thanks!
Thank you so much for helping us learn our new Sewing Machine. Could you show us how to hoop a sweatshirt on the Janome Skyline S9 RE20 a hoop. I'm confused with it because of the extending "arm" this hoop has. Thank you.
Amazing my 1950 singer 66 zig zag or attachment moves the material also because as you know it's a straight stitch machine and that machine basically in a way does the same kind of deal interesting
Looking forward to your next tutorial on hooping and stabilizing. Do you have the magnetic clamps to use with floating embroidery? Love to see that as well. Also, hee hee, do a video on downloading designs from internet to machine please. I love how simple you make it look. Thank you
It won’t fit on top of the machine. You’ll need to get an external thread stand. You can get a nice metal one or a lot of people with create their own using stuff around the house
I have a skyline s9 Janome. I do quilting and I really would like to know how to use the embroidery function to embroider, Such as do I still need stabilizer if I’m using batting and backing. Can you do a TH-cam video showing how to quilt with the embroidery function thank you
you can probably get away with the regular stitch plate. I just HIGHLY recommend the single stitch plate from experience, the thread has a greater chance of bunching up with the zig zag plate
I just got my Janome S9 and I am totally confused but this video helped me. I want to monogram my nursing jacket with my name. But the machine stops me at a certain numer of letters. How can I get it to accept my full name?
I have been trying to find my embroidery designs on my machine. I sent designs to my machine and they do not show. I even tried with the memory stick and still no designs. Please help
before you upload the designs on your memory stick plug it into the machine, go to settings , use the right arrow to scroll to page 2, then calibrate the stick (its the little USB icon). I usually click it 2 -3 times. then bring hte stick back to the computer and only upload one or two designs. make sure they are JEF file formats.
My mom got that one the other day, and hers don’t have all those options. They are grayed out on the screen. She can’t select zigzag stitch etc. What could be the issue?
Is trying to use the sewing machine while the embroidery arm is on? She would need to remove it to sew. She also needs to check the needle plate, the silver plate under the presser foot where the needle goes down into. Are there three individual holes for the needle to go down into? If yes that is the "Straight Stitch" plate and it will not allow her to do any none straight stitches with it on. She needs to switch to the plate with the large horizontal opening.
As soon as you turned your phone to portrait mode the video became unbearable. Oh, if you have the audacity to give a tutorial, try at least reading the manual. I take it USA schools still have the capability to educate to basic reading/ writing?

Great video.. very informative and down to earth ❤
You do such a good job explaining. Thanks 😊
I bought my machine new, and it does come with the embroidery unit in that blue bag!!
Are you still doing videos on youtube regarding the S9? You are good at this and it is helpful to all of us
Thank you for your time. I have not been able to figure out which I pad to use . The I pad air did not work. Do you know which I pad works for the S9

I noticed you had the 3000M of bobbin thread. That large of a cone will fit on the S9? Thank you

Is it really necessary to use the different plate?

What is the 'scripture ' setting on the Janome S10

Uh-oh! I bought a starter pack of flourani when I bought my machine. 😳 fingers crossed!
Definitely keep an eye on it. Hopefully your machine likes it
So I don't have to lower the dog feet?
Nope! It should do it automatically. But it is a good habit to double check they're lowered before putting your hoop on

I have had my machine 2 years and the place I bought it has not helped me at all.
I’m so sorry to hear that. Perhaps you can find someone else in the area to give private lessons?
