Yeah, I think people who say that must not have heard him sing very much. Maybe they base it off the fact that he has the fewest lines? I think trying to pick a “worst vocalist” in BTS is pointless. They’re all phenomenal to the point where it really doesn’t make any sense to say someone is worst.
A couple years ago on another video about Crystal Snow, I was arguing with someone, for longer than necessary, who legitimately did not believe it was Jin actually singing those notes, even though in the youtube video it clearly showed him from multiple angles doing so. They said they were a "producer" and with that background claimed it was all the backing track. I then had to use my 15-ish year experience as a singer to tell them, that while there was a little bit of backing track, no, he was for real singing that. They eventually gave up and stopped replying. I wonder if they've seen/heard his high notes in Dionysus and WABP: The Eternal since then lol

You know what i love about Jin in hitting high notes is that it has a lot of weight and power on his voice which makes it sound very distinct that the rest of the vocal line.

True! Jin is the only BTS Belter (reaching the high notes with Power)! Vocal Coach Justin Burke praise Jin's voice in Butter, calling him the MVP of that record-breaking song! He even compares Jin's falsetto to Jungkook's, saying that Jin's is "fuller/thicker" because of that Power.
And of course, having that "Silver Voice" means having the Best Technique to easily switch from chest to head & back because of his stable breath control. And he does this while dancing some of the hardest choreography in the world, plus despite being the "oldest" member in the Group.
Finally, yes, he has the widest range--listen to his duet with Taehyung in "It's Definitely You"--and in Dionysus you can hear him sing both the lower & higher register at the same time !

To give Koo his due, he has the Energizer Bunny voice, with his power and reliability he deserves to be the main vocalist. However it's Jin who is underappreciated so let's focus on him here. He has gifts that complement the others so well. As music critics in both Korean and international media have said, he is stupendous in both his vocal AND emotional range. Not only can he hit the highest notes in Bangtan with beautiful sonority, he can also reach down into baritone range with a rich full tone. On top of that, Jin will make you FEEL EVERY NOTE AND EVERY WORD. I had never cried at a song before. I cried at Awake, Tonight, Abyss and the song that brought me to BTS, Epiphany.

For some it's hard to appreciate Jin's singing right away, because his full strong voice is so different from the breathy voices of the other vocalists. But man, he is s powerful singer! His voice is always cristal clear, never falters during choreography, even when he has a cold, it booms through the microphone, reaches pitches so high that are impossible for most people. It amazes me still how Jin started singing without any experience only to be part of bts, and managed to reached this level. I guess he worked hard on a talent that not even he realized he had. Total respect.
When he was a trainee, his vocal teacher said he was the best student ever and his voice didn't just improve it transformed!

Jin always had that natural talent present in him which he didn't know! Vocal coach Tian Garcia said that Jin always had that raw talent from the starting because it is impossible for anyone to reach such an incredible singing level with just practice! He even compared his vocal range to elite singer like Dimash! His vocals are also compared to great Mariah Carey! Jin is an epitome of huge talent and great hardwork which together produces the best output as you can see in case of Jin! His latest song "Yours" showcases his incredible vocal technique and complexity! For me, he is undoubtedly the best singer💜
I find Jin’s way of singing really interesting. I’ve been watching several voice coaches and musicians on TH-cam and they mention that for singers to hit that high note some will do a “step up” with their hand or some other physical way of getting their bodies to sing higher. Jin literally digs down for that high note.

God, Jin's vocals is really one of a kind. There's just something so special about it whenever you would hear it. I remember being totally new to the fandom during bst era and I was currently learning about them. The moment I heard Awake, I got hooked and dragged in to being an ARMY (best decision btw, ♾️ stars, ♾️/10 would do it again). It's like he speaks to you, he listens and he knows what you're feeling, and he is singing those emotions to the world. Listen let me give you a whole lesson of how I can tell that jimin and Jin have different unique voices that I can tell which is different so let me give you a whole blessing so my soul love someone so jimin has a high voice but jin has a unique high voice they are both very unique but how are they different I watched the video awake and I watched the video Promise then I noticed when jimin's voice deep parts it sounds like him cuz when you hear him talking is difference the one you hear him singing in a deep voice it's kind of weird because you don't really see him in a deep voice only in suga's rap part nevermind so when I saw Jin do that very high now and when I saw that high note in awake i was like this is a little different a little different I think I can tell that jimin and Jin are different people so I did 30* 100 because that's how high do jin can go but you can go about 40 or 50 or 60 I tried to divide the 10 and the 60 and 50 and you know I was like how we're going to do this how are we going to do this his voice is about 60% High so if you add a j × j then songs I'm a little look a little wrong but they're the same letter if you could tell each member we're going to look at Jin and jimin and be like they're different people jimin has an unreal face jin that's a handsome looking face that will catch girls everywhere so if you add the 60% * the day will not equal nothing but it was Iko Iko 60% J = jin because jun has a 60% type of high voice you know what just freaking like for part 2
