SHEET MUSIC VIDEO OUT NOW! th-cam.com/video/I14lErqItFI/w-d-xo.html Thank you everyone for the love on this passion project, I've heard your requests and have made a sheet music video, it's also linked in the description and the end card for this video. I want to make more of these but need ideas, which songs would you want to hear parts added to?
the smile this planted on my face was completely involuntary bc GODDAMN THOSE CRUNCHY HARMONIES BABY!!!!!!! DELICIOUS!!!! 0:58 and i was already sold on the whole song
love the harmony you implied. I think the original video is easier to hear through time, but i love the alternatives you brought, it gives us another video more spicy!!! beautiful work, cheers from Brasil!
ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!! I absolutely LOVE LOVE this piece and somehow you made it even better, oh my god I can’t believe how fantastic your crunchy harmonies were, thanks so much!
Dude... this is like adding a whole new dimension, but it's not even adding much! This is how you contribute to an existing quartet work. Add in some crunch with sixths, ninths, some passing tones, but not overdoing it. Just building on that existing feeling into something with even more depth. (Also, am I crying? No, definitely not, I just have something in my eye...)
Tasteful but the original is better. Great passages in isolation but a bit more finesse and subtlety with the spice throughout would make this go hard. Some of the counterpoint didn't seem to fit the intimate vibe, particularly in the bridge. Other than that, you've got good writing skills and a refined ear to handle all that spice. Loved the ending in particular, keep it up
It’s clear that you already know this, but I just want to say it. Adding more crunch is not always essential, and in fact, can make things actively worse. I like how you refrained from adding harmonies to certain areas, I paid very close attention. Your restraint is commendable, most journeyman musicians with a bit of music theory under their belt would probably destroy this by adding new notes to every single chord, “because they can.” But even with your careful, calculated insertion of texture, anytime a new harmony was added, it felt truly unnecessary. The song is utterly perfect as is. I did not like this. However I deeply respect the urge to add to something beautiful and to test what your personal inspiration can do to it, and I applaud your abilities. Not for me at all, but well done nonetheless. As a fellow musician, I can imagine how amazing this must have felt to put together, especially if extreme “crunch” is your thing.
All valid! At the heart of this, I made it because I wanted to, not for any other reason. I'm a big fan of vocal groups like Take 6 and Accent so there's a lot of their influence here. Placing that idea into an already perfectly arranged 4-part piece will definitely have some uncanny effects but I loved the experiment and result, and I'm glad others did too!
Interesting but lesser than the original. I immediately thought of Ben Hawker and wonder what he would have done with 2 more voice parts and how that would have sounded.

Yo WHAT
Anyone think of that one song in wall-e or is it just me?
The dissonance 🤌
Interesting but lesser than the original. I immediately thought of Ben Hawker and wonder what he would have done with 2 more voice parts and how that would have sounded.
Now this is dissonance for dissonance sake. Idk if I like it or not :)
I was just making my favorite meal, and I love spicy food
Haha :)
