I had to look things up out of my history and georgraphy classes. I enjoyed reading about Finland's civil war and the eventual Winter War. Accidentally came across a Finland history book that talked about both events in my high school library. We need to better our education and encourage our children to look outside of the US.

You go to Hungary the culture will be completely differant than say Greece, eventhough the distance between the two is so small im pretty sure most US states would be bigger.
Obviously there are variation of culture in the US, but thats also the case for everywhere else
Brittany in France has its own local culture the locals fiercely defand out of spite despite the constant decline due to XIXth and XXth century France destroying it, however its pretty clear that ultimately they are still french, and there would be more similarities culturally between them and Alsace than them and Wales eventhough Wales is culturally closest to Breton by origins

You guys should really make Geography a mandatory subject for a few years. It'll do you all a world of good. It's really broad, covers multiple other subjects partially, has things no other subject has, and it was surprisingly popular when I was at school. Probably because you could pick it no matter which route you took. The most scientific bundles and the most cultural bundles could both do Geography. It's also just really fun.
And I preferred Biology and History, so I'm not nearly as biassed as possible. So I'm not just spreading propaganda for my favourite subject. It's my second favourite.

An interesting stat to look at would be world knowledge and families with military backgrounds. I grew up with a world map on the living room wall showing the places my mother and father had been and been deployed. I learned about the new countries in the easter block when my older cousin joins the marines in the 1990's and was possibly goin to be deployed there. Might just be my family though.

When I watch other channels react they rarely talk. They basically just reupload the video as their own and break fair use. Drew is different and is always adding something of his own constantly. Making it very enjoyable and not just watching a video with someone else sitting in front of the screen breathing and saying "Did that happen chat???" or just walking away Hasan style.

Since 2009 Americans have had to have a passport for going to Mexico and Canada. That was an act of Congress bizarrely called the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative. It is odd that those countries let you in by land but the US requires you to have a passport to get back. If you travel by air, a passport is required by those countries.
Defunding public schools must be a big part of the problem because when I was young decades ago, I learned geography in grade school. Also luckily my parents had an encyclopedia which I consulted regularly and went to the library. I found out a couple of years ago that my junior high school had been changed into a charter school. Awful.

I love travelling America as a Canadian for a few reasons:
    1. Lots of beautifil places like the Pacific coast, Utah and the beatuful red rock landscape features like natural arches and "bridges". These are just a few of litterally hundreds of beautiful spots in the US!
    2. I don't want the culture shock, I like that its somewhere new without a language barrier
    3. S Tier Highways system makes getting around super easy if you have a car like basically all Canadians( and Americans) families have.
    4. Fairly affordable and gives you an opportunity to buy stuff to bring home that is cheaper and products you don't normally have access to.
    I love the USA!!!

I never watched this particular video. But watching this now, after President Biden recently signed a bill targeting TikTok over matters of national security struck a few cords for me before I got towards the end, where that app was mentioned specifically. The practice of US censorship with ideological cause is still alive and well.
Since ByteDance belongs to a Chinese owner, an app of its kind along with it’s current geopolitical situation, it managed by someone immune to being told how to manage sensitive data by the United States government according to US law, yet virtually provides a window of foreign leverage to defy the United States’ current governmental efforts for information control and cybersecurity cannot exist. Which is why ByteDance has an official ban, more-so pertaining government-issued devices for the immediate moment, but it solidifies nationally in months unless they divest and surrender their management in favor of US governmental control over data.
Again, the practice of US censorship with ideological cause is still very alive and well. Despite playing off the somewhat laissez-faire facade in terms of information spread coupled with freedom of expression, we should know it’s not true. What had developed reinforces exactly who exerts the most influence and enforces the world order at every opportunity.
