This is how the Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 sounds like with unmuffled exhaust!

- I was always convinced that all the Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 race cars were running with a muffled exhaust system in the various championships, because that car could have sounded like a "mini" DBR9 GT1. Finally I got the confirmation during the recent AvD Oldtimer GP weekend at the Nürburgring where the Masters Historic Endurance championship raced. Listen to that screaming V12 in action on track!

They still race with the bigger engines today just in other classes. Hell the next year I hear there going back to the bigger engines. I can't wait to see what they do with the new Hypercar class.

At least every other car on a normal GT3 grid has a V10 thanks to Audi and Lamborghini. Never stop appreciating the presence of a V10 at a race.

julianski09 many race tracks have decibel restrictions due to surrounding population. At least that’s how it is in the U.S.
M3 Pilot - Steve Smart - That’s the exact reason that TopGear weren’t legally allowed to do a timed lap of the Vulcan in S1 of new TopGear.
Sound restriction Blancpain the max permitted is 110db
Because people buy a house near a race track then complain about the sound lol.

I'm really excited about the WEC vulcan, even though it's a pity that it's going to be less powerful than the "street" version

@@zigmindana4426 But the Vulcan was way underperforming, without a doubt it is under FXX K and P1 GTR and a little above the Sesto Elemento, and they are all 3 miles off the pace of current LMP1 cars and slower than GT3 too, with the Valkyrie they might have a better chance.

@TurboBOV you're right i havent heard that specific Sound, but here where im from there are a couple of categories with similar displacement and as much or even higher rpm range completely unmuffled and panished my ears a bit but far from being def!
Ivan Nevistic I’ve driven Clio and Cruze cup cars and those err already pretty damn loud, no need to unmuffle them

In the IMSA GTD days, this car was unmuffled, and it was beautiful. Up until recently when GTD adopted the GT3 regulations, this car went muffled and it was never the same. I miss the unmuffled racing days.
I understand this comment is quite old but you do know gtd is basically un muffled because the don’t require a catalytic converter

I'm actually using both a Canon HF GX10 and a HF G40. I can't record at 30/60 because mine are the European version of those camcorders (called "Legria") an you can only choose the PAL format so (25/50 fps)

I much prefer the high pitched race car V12 sound to the production cars' deeper sounding valvetronic crackle. You can fix that by investing in some equal length headers/exhaust manifolds.
