They made a power supply that goes in battery compartment but you will have a wire going to wall plug mine is 25 feet long you can mate it with your guitar chord to amp. The guitar is awesome !!
I just got a 2007 Black VG and my son kept me up till 2 am showing me what it does! He loves it we own a good stable of Strats but he says this one is a keeper and never sell it. They are American standard Strats but the workmanship is way above average. Neck is rolled and dressed. It’s also very light. He said the extra cavities for the electronics gives it a slight feel and tone of a semi hollow. Very slight but it’s there. Thanks for the great video!
Thanks very much for watching, and for taking the time to comment. I agree - they really are beautifully finished. Very well built, and they ooze class. Very versatile guitars, and with all those sounds, if you throw in different amp settings and effects, you will never get bored. Enjoy your 2007, and thanks again 😊👍🎸
One huge advantage is the roland pick ups are totally silent on stage . Switch it back to standard strat and it hisses with static interference especially if flouo lighting like any normal guitar would. The DropD open G is awesome especially if your already tuned half a step down. it's not as good as actually down tuning but good enough to get away with . The Tele and Humbucker modes are Authentic.. Im never selling mine
Man, I would love to have one of these. I have an American series fat Strat. The only thing I don’t like about it is, the bridge pick up is a double hamburger type, and it gets in the way when you do telly type picking. If you know what I mean. I prefer the original American Strat. But like I say, I would love to have one of these for the versatility.
Thanks for watching. This is indeed a very versatile guitar. I have to say that I never found the skinny Roland pickup getting in the way. The bridge pickup is a single coil, and I find the Roland one unobtrusive right by the bridge itself - don't let it put you off :)
@@dylansmithguitarist3843 thank you sir. That explains things a little bit more. I’ve only looked at those one time, and that was several years ago. I live in a rule area of Mississippi, and I don’t know if I could get my hands on one around here. But I would love to check one out. Maybe someday I can find one, and maybe even purchase one somewhere. It sounds great. Thanks for replying. God bless.
I got one in black and thought it is useful for covering songs like Hotel California and Stairway to Heaven without needing an extra 12 string. But they eat battery too fast, and as a result I rarely play the G5, breaking it only when I need it for slide or 12 string sounds.
Many thanks for watching! The main thing is to unplug it when not in use, and it's worth carrying spare batteries (but they are only AA, so easy to pick up). The batteries go in a little compartment without having to unscrew anything, and the guitar still works 'normally' if the batteries die. And there's an LED light to warn you of battery life. I can get a few gigs out of a set of batteries, and rechargeable batteries last pretty well too. Obviously, the more active settings you use, the quicker the batteries will die. Thanks again 👍🎸
Your best bet is rechargeable batteries! The Strat takes four,so you should have 4 charging while playing. They last 8-9 hrs.at a time! Cheers!Hope this helps
@@dylansmithguitarist3843 Excellent demo! In 2007, I bought a VG same as yours, and play it nearly every day. I have other guitars (including acoustics), but rarely play them anymore. I did add a toggle microswitch to switch off the Roland circuitry, and since I still play a lot in the Standard Strat setting, the rechargeable batteries last a really long time now, so that was the only annoying part of this guitar. Also, the neck is smooth as silk!! Again, thanks for the great demo!
Would someone be kind enough to let me know if they made a Left-handed version , been very interested in getting myself one but, I have a feeling that this was only available, right handed
Great vid. Dylan! I just had mine delivered yesterday( 2012 Mex. made).I'm just learning to play guitar, and your explanation about controls was a big help. Cheers!
Hi Jim! Congratulations on the new guitar, and I'm sure you'll love it. I'm glad you found it useful, and that the controls are similar on the MIA and MIM models. Thanks for taking the time to comment. Much appreciated 😃👍🎸
Hi, thanks for watching. I didn't notice any real latency with mine - but I used it more for picking and acoustic stuff/open tuning etc. I would imagine there could be an issue on faster passages - but Ive never experienced it, and I'm yet to hear of the problem from other owners. My personal experience is only with the USA Strat though, and I'm not sure what software/hardware changes were made to the later reissue model. Thanks again👍🎸
This is a dream guitar. So ahead of its time. Can wait to get one!
You won't be disappointed. I had to sell mine, but I wish I'd been able to keep it.
Man! YOU GOT A SONG FOR EVERY TONE! Very nice
Thanks! Really appreciate that 😀👍🎸
I also have a black one of these. The neck alone is one of the best of all the guitars I own. Thanks for the run through.
A massively underestimated and misunderstood guitar. A genuinely great guitar. Thanks for watching 😃👍🎸

They certainly are very flexible in their use - and beautifully made. Great to hear from another happy owner! A good work-around for the power! 👍🎸

Indeed. I sold mine to raise money during Covid, but I'm playing a lot more solo gigs now and really regret selling mine! Thanks for watching 👍🎸
Excellent video. Very informative. Thank you.

I have 2 of These One like yours and A Black one I love them Great Sound !
Excellent! Very useful guitars, and so well made. Thanks for watching 👍🎸
Came for the strat stayed for the beard
Thanks for watching - and there's plenty more of my beard on the channel if you fancy checking out some of my other videos 😂Thanks again 👍🎸

Sorry guys for the dictation errors. I am totally blind. I have been a guitar player most of all my life. I am 53 years old. I love to play lead.

That was amazing!!!
Thanks for watching - they are very versatile guitars. I had this for years but had to sell it in the end - regretting it already.
I’m so sorry to hear that I’m trying to find one for a reasonable price
Excellent!

This isn't a G5 he's playing! The G5 has both the Tone knob, and the Mode knob in Black! He's playing a standard VG.
Thank you. I've seen these in action a few times. And I'm that guy with 3 axes on stage. How's the battery life?

@@dylansmithguitarist3843 Thanks for your help im fairly sure they just made it in the right hand version Real shame
I'm looking to buy one. Do you know the difference between the 07 ones and the ones after 2010?

Mine has a 06 date?
Also, is there any latency? I have a Fishman midi pup and there's latency

I own the same guitar mine is a 2007.
Great guitars. And not too many about. Thanks for watching 👍🎸
