To makenit fair, Flight Test finally shipped my screen. Hopefully it comes in time for the West Coast Throwdown. Now its on UPS. Nice review. Agree that V2 should have replay and USB C file transfer! Also probably internal whip antennas for lazy people. With plugs for external antennas. And a little internal battery, 2-3 hours work time would be enough if there is also external battery plug. And 90fps recording :) and power / charge from USB C. And Carl needs to send Goggles to Neil 😅😅
Dutch local shop had m soon after release. Got mine early and loving it. Playback is the one thing I was kinda surprised wasn’t there. I was also surprised by some of the reviews out there. Guessing it’s a ‘racer’ thing?
The built in analog is great but doesn't have some of the more advanced options an external analog module has. I think the current iteration of the goggles is better with the option to add your own analog module.
Great review! I agree with those points. excellent remark about FliteTest. I understand their interest in the product but its not a community centered choice and exclusivity over it is seems like a scheme to drive sales from the FPV community alongside their traditional fixed wing fan base. I couldn't find really anything else FPV related in their store. Hope that changes. Keep up the content!
So who best to order from? Flight Test or HD Zero store? I don't care for any retailer that can't tell you if it's in stock or not. This is 2024 and the retail software can do it.
How well does this actually record Analog? And how good is the analog reception? Does it use the same antenna as the digital rx? Or am i missing something? Thats weird... I bought that new skyzone screen last month for the better analog DVR they advertised, But its a peice of crap!!! Skyzone apparently sent the reviewers a different product then what they are selling on their website, where i got mine. It doesn't record any beter quality then my old fat shark goggles or the screen out of my old fxt viper v2 goggles, there is blocky pixelations and weird colors that looks totally different then the clear image in the screen just like my other old DVRs, range isn't nearly as good as the regular steadyview x module so they cheaped out somehow on that too, no output so you cant use it as a module and no hdmi input, even screens from 5-6 years ago had that like my fxt screen! My sd card trey wasn't even lined up with slot in the case correctly, my card wouldn't come back out so i had to cut the hole out bigger so i could get the card in and out of the damn thing... Then that shitbag company skyzone refused the returnand ive been waiting for like a month for paypal to refund me for the fraudulent thing... boy I sure wish i knew this was coming and got it instead...
What if you live in another country buying stuff from the US shops is no good thanks to shipping would NEVER buy from flight test. Sounds like a bad deal frankly
Thumb up if you think Limon should keep that Jon's screen 😅

Thats not fair, they charge you $40 for 1 day shipping, but ended up being like 11 day shipping. REFUND
9:26 😂the quad in the back. “😮😮What da what da….sh!t pilot” ❤
My only complaint is no playback mode, besides that i love mine.

What are best antenas for this hdzero monitor? I bought it but no directions as out antenna?!
Was waiting for a good excuse to get one
Both HDZ and Analog, thats the reason I bought it
Can we have a HDZero 2 goggles, that can view both digital and analog channels like the monitor?

What I would want is true diversity in both the analog and digital receivers even if it means 4 antennas.
I REALLY gotta get mine. HDZERO FTW!!!!
Great review. Cool and useful product. 👍😎
What resolution do hdzero goggles dvr record in ?
i LOVE mine, this product got me into hdz and im now bitten with it got the goggles as well now, awesome monitor

I tested flying with a nano 90 and the screen and there was too much lag for me. It's very noticeable. I haven't tried with any other camera though.
makes sense, its pretty good for spectating, but probably feels weird with some of the frames not displaying on 90hz mode
