Day 1 of island hopping in Coron, Palawan included Quin Reefs, Kayangan Lake, Smith Beach, CYC Beach, and Green Lagoon in that order! It was a full day: Our guide, Rey, met us at our hotel at 8:20 am (just 20 minutes behind schedule) and we were back in Coron Town after our day of touring at around 4:45 pm.
We started the day by grocery shopping at the market. We bought one chicken, 0.5 kg of rice, soy sauce & vinegar, a watermelon, a big jug of water, and some onions and limes for a little over 400 pesos. Rey was not only our tour guide and boat captain but also our chef. He used the fresh ingredients to make us grilled chicken and rice for lunch! Rey’s grilled chicken was honestly the most delicious thing we ate in Coron all week! He cooked on our small boat, and we feasted at Smith Beach.
All of the sights were beautiful! It’s hard to choose favorites, but we were rendered speechless by the view of the bay from the top of the hill at Kayangan Lake, and we had a blast swimming with the kids and hanging out with Filipino families at CYC Beach!
The cost of admissions at each site except Kayangan Lake was 100 pesos (or US$2) per person. The admissions fee to Kayangan Lake was double (200 pesos or US$4 per person). A lot of the tour operators in town include the tour, lunch and admissions fees in a single price, but our tour operator charged separately for these costs. Everything is likely negotiable, but we were really happy with the quality of our tour and didn’t think twice about the individual costs. FYI: We paid 1,800 pesos for a two-person private boat with JP Travel and Tours excluding lunch and admissions fees.

Just got back from coron a week ago and having a private boat during the tours is definetely recommended especially if you want to take your time just hanging around the beach.
how much is the private boat
It was 2000 pesos for the 3 of us and that excludes the entrance fees to the beach

Wani Sabaruddin hello. Just go straight to the port. All the prices and spots you want to go is published outside the coast guard desk. They are quiet honest and tell u all the details. I recommend going private tour so u can have the boat all by yourselves. Thanks

Amazing Couple.:)) We are Filipino family now British. I've been watching so many videos about Coron for almost a year now because it's going to be in out itinerary.... But nothing really hits me..... Every time I search Coron all the results says "watched" up until a night ago... Your video appeared for the first time in my screen. Wow LOVED it from the very first video and this is the one. Exactly the same tour in my mind but I thought it's not possible because all my friends seemed to be in a group tours. And those myth about the half snake, half woman is just too old for today's generation. Grow up. Palawan and Boracay are just two of the place worth visiting in the Philippines to experience "MORE FUN".
Ok go swim in boracay with floating poops. They testedf the water contaminated with people and animal poops!!!! You can fly to boracay via cebupac for 100pesos. Even non educated can go to boracay now and poop in the water

Maybe you guys spend alot on that private boat. But if you just buy a tour package it will be much cheaper and you will also enjoy the presence of other tourist. Renting a bout just for the two of you is a little boring. I saw your lunch and it looks like not so exciting to eat with just a chicken. Unlike in tourpackage, you will have a lunch buffet with a bunch of seafoods at other type of meat like pork it akdo comes with fruits. Yummy. You should also try the tour C . Its the bulog island, banana islsnd and malapascua island. You'll definitely fall in love with their white sand beaches. So relaxing to sleep in a hammock and the summer breeez ughhh. I will definetely go back there soon. By the way i love how you guys shoot the video and your wife voice is so cutee. Gby
Thank you for watching our vlog! We enjoyed having the boat to ourselves as we didn't want to rush through a list of tourist sites and feel pressure to see and then leave a place. We loved being able to choose where we wanted to go and how long we could stay. Nevertheless, that is how we travel and one thing that rings true is that travelers differ in so many ways. Some may prefer tour groups and meeting a lot of new people whereas others may prefer a quieter, slower pace. So long as you are true to yourself, you'll most likely have a great travel experience whichever package you choose. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, :) Tim

No, it wasn't packed with tourists like many other islands in the Philippines. However, Coron is more on the travel radar these days, so I imagine that more and more people will visit there as they find out about Coron! Thanks for watching. T&G
