Thanks, Anne Hart for also honouring Danny's manager and lover, Jack. Danny was a man, a gay man, a good, loving gay man as well as an "Entertainer and Former King Rat". If she hadn't mentioned the relationship, so important in Danny's life, would anyone else have? Show biz is still airbrushing out the facts of life. Thanks for posting this much deserved tribute.
Dan was always happy to share his professional knowlege and give good advice, he was responsible (along with Duggie Squires for convincing Geraldine Gardner she should stick with the daily London rehearsals (in Chiswick) for a new West End musical, whilst she was every night plus matinees with Dan in panto Aladdin at Bristol Hippodrome.. The new musical? The original London Cast of CATS.
It was a ceremonial unveiling, not a relaxed gathering. I’m sure they had a few drinks afterwards. Nobody looked bored, a little stiff and unsure of what to do or say perhaps, but not bored.
Heart warming - lovely to see such famous faces without the hint of an ego....just respect, fun and love.
When I was a little girl, we saw Danny in Panto.
He waved to me & said "Hello" from the Stage.
Rip Lovely man ❤️
Not seen this before and I was lucky enough to be there. Thanks William for this, a great day.
Paul Stephen Thanks Paul. I can't believe this is almost four years ago. It was a lovely afternoon :)
Thank you for sharing this video ❤️xx

It was a plaque to commemorate his working life not his private life. These performers come from an era where privacy was respected.
@@mildredsparks6684if men came out as homosexual it was a death sentence!! And career suicide! It was also illegal

Of course, they start off thinking about the weather
Is that Eddie Izzards mum speaking at the end
Most of them are gone now
Who's the man in the ginger wig?
They all look so bored and false...... But that's show business I guess all two faced...
What would YOU know about it?
