And if all workers quit, there will be more who will work for the low wage anyway, because we worship money. There is no win for the workers here. You’re trying to fight a much larger system that dictates wether you are ALLOWED to eat food and have a roof over your head, they could decide that unions are illegal tomorrow and all of you spend year in prison. They told you they are going to war with countries, bombed them to hell and never gave you any real concrete reasons and you cheered them on. So what makes you think now that they give a crap about you or are intimidated by you in any way? We have done nothing collectively as a society to show them that they are not in control.
The reason someone takes low wages is not because they are greedy, they need to feed their kids and there’s no other options. Why haven’t you organized a legitimate third party? Why aren’t you running for Congress to change things? What organizing group do you donate too? Sanctimonious comments, seriously.
Sad but true. Even the Capitol rioters were worthless. Their big attempt to stand up against the government was to poop on the floor in someone's office and steal mail. @@soulfulgardener exactly why nothing will ever change... nobody truly wants to risk their lives for change and that's what it actually takes to get it.
I hate to break this to everyone. But the hundreds actually work really well with one another. We, the billions, hate each other, distrust one another, and wanna kill each other all the time based on social constructs and myths like race, nation states, and religion. Hell, sometimes even over something as trivial as sports. Unless we get to a point where we can actually work together and cooperate like the almost 4000 billionaires around the world. Nothing is going to change. Cool video though.
It's natural to want to be around people who have something in common with you, be that race, nationality, or religion. Cooperation amongst the billions of different people isn't the problem. The problem is the hundreds have all the money, and the billions don't. According to Maslow's hierarchy of needs, the need to meet basic requirements keep the billions in a state of desperation that allows the hundreds to exploit them. And that's why you see people having to work for non-livable wages. If nobody applied for these jobs and they didn't have workers, then we would see change. But the billions need the money, so we find ourselves in this position time and time again.
Not only that. People need to stop shopping there for anything to make a difference. The same people complaining about Amazon are usually the same people that tend to be their customers. The same goes for Starbucks, Walmart, and McDonald’s etc. Lest we forget, America is a corporate oligarchy masquerading as a so called “democracy.” It’s a Wall Street Government people. Irrespective of who gets elected into the Oval Office. Always has and always will be. Politicians from both sides of the aisle are paid and bought for. Never forget that. I felt fortunate for the benefits I got ( which we constantly had to fight for) grateful I got pay raises every year. It was the friends and family plan, though. Seems like the laziest people always got promoted over the hardest workers. In fact, your reward for hard work was more work. I guess if you got a good horse you load them up. Without the union, a lotof people would be fired to make room for more friends and family. It was sickening with a union, can you imagine Without one? I doubt some people would have ever seen a pay raise. I'm retired now and don't miss that place one bit.

I stand with you all and have canceled my Amazon membership. #fuckamazon

Pretty good actually and Amazon is on the leading edge
If everyone was supporting they would cancel their subscriptions and stop ordering for a week, but they won’t because they don’t really stand with workers, they stand for convenience.
This is the power you all have given to them. Heck, they’ve even taken your freedom of speech and you complied, they told you to stay indoors for 2 years and you complied.
As for why there hasn’t been a revolution, is because so many of us are at the edge of homelessness, kinda hard to focus on organizing when you might lose your home any minute.
Then they cried in court when it became uncomfortable. This country is too comfortable and soft to give up their plush lives for any major changes.
Well put..they are good at divide and conquer..hopefully Mangione just solved that issue.
Lest we forget, America is a corporate oligarchy masquerading as a so called “democracy.”
