You’re the most underrated photographer on TH-cam right now.
Not under-rated in any bad way - more so I mean just deserving of a LOT more attention than you’re getting.
    Great stuff Todd

I just returned from shooting there and share your frustration about early/late access as a photographer. They are also understaffed and can’t adequately process guests quickly. Nonetheless, what a unique place and one that you need to experience on multiple days as the conditions can be so varied. I watched your videos to help prepare as you so eloquently explained about light, color, geometry and simplicity. You’re an inspiration, sir. Thank you,

Really nice video. Having grown up in Albuquerque I've been there several times. Magical or even other-worldly is a great way to describe the environment there. One aspect of your videos that I especially enjoyed (beyond the display of your final images) were the scenes of you walking in the landscape--having you in the scene really highlighted the vastness, desolation, and stark beauty which White Sands is known for. Well done!

Wow Todd what a place. The serenity and bleakness of this place is just fantastic. Ive loved the two of these `travelogues` you've now done, more please

I've enjoyed watching these videos of your journeys to NM and UT. We truly have some spectacular landscapes in this country. I've pinned this location, and Bisti/De-Na-Zin Wilderness. Thank you for taking us along for the ride. You landed some beauties. I loved my trip out west back in March, and can't wait to get back early 2025 📸

Hey Todd, White Sands has been on my radar for a long time and it's always interesting to get other people's perspectives on a given location. I'm curious if you've been experimenting with infrared at all and would be interesting to see what you can come up with at the locations you go to. I know it's a pain to carry extra gear but that's part of the challenge isn't it? Besides, infrared is for the time of day when the light sucks for any other type of photography. Cheers.

I have been fortunate enough to have spend time shooting there more than once and you found very different subjects and vantage points. I enjoyed your descriptions and the shots are lovely! It may be a medium format thing for you, but the last time I was there I was between 200-400mm full frame for most compositions. I would imagine that you probably don’t have that equivalent focal length.

Love the content and the photos. Is it possible to stay past sunset now even tho the backcountry camping is closed with no opening date posted?

Awesome video as always, Todd. I've been there once and indeed, it was magical. Can you comment on the park closing its gates after sunset and how much time you give yourself to get back to the car? I spent the night in the backcountry when I was there, but it would be nice to have some daytrip options for those of us who love the blue hours.

Thanks for this. What were your settings, exactly? did you need to use filters? a polarizer or ND ?

Hi Tom! I followed your R5 workflow with the Ninja V in the past.... would you mind sharing the camera/recorder/lens combination you used to shoot this video? Is it still what you have published previously? The results are always very great. Thanks in advance!!

I love how this video has very little to do with photography and everything to do with the adventure of chasing a photo.

I had plans to head down there this upcoming week. After seeing the closure I’m kind of questioning if I should since I have a trip planned that goes by the area. Hopefully they open it or I find something worth my time there in just the small area that is open.

Wasn't too fond of the last one, but I think all the other images were simply beautiful, like a voyage into someone else's dream.
Please be careful when you travel through such harsh environments! 😉

Absolute most favorite place! Lived in Las Cruces for a few years. 🤍🤍 Even in moments of disappointment when it gets really windy out there etc, it’s all a beautiful experience. Love your videos!!
