- Just an old tune from 40 years ago or so. Thought I'd try it. Hope you like it. Sub, don't' sub, like, don't like.... I do these vids because I love music and I love to create and play with audio. Hope I can enjoy this for a few more years before my voice dies. :) As for effects, same as always. I record a cow dying and then run that audio through AutoHitMaker Plus version 3.9 and basically just hit a couple buttons and set the song title and boom! it just creates the song for me. Simple and intuitive. No need to complicate things. I hear they plan to make one for video too so no need to film yourself anymore.

The one guy I always thought could nail Denns DeYoung vocals 100% is Michael Sweet of Stryper. Back in the day, he sounded like DeYoung but just more powerful and of course inside a metal context.

aaaaaaaaaaaAHHHHHH. :) yeah, I mean, it's weird, I don't rehearse these songs really. I just do maybe one verse and chorus and then I'll sing it 2 or 3 times. Every song is kind of an experiment. I'm shocked myself that some of them turn out really well.

Nicely done. I'm currently listening to the Styx Greatest hits CD in my car for the last couple of weeks. I'm more of a Tommy Shaw fan than Dennis Deyoung fan. I find some of Dennis's stuff a little too "Broadway showtune" for me. He has a great voice, just not my style.
Yeah he definitely does have a little bit of corniness to himself I also preferred the more rocking tunes When Dennis sang on the rocking tunes I thought it sounded really cool He did good on some of the ballads if they didn't get too sappy

thx. it's just cheap twin bed mattress from walmart 25 years ago. It was like $8 for one. So, I bought enough to cover the walls and most of the ceiling. Good enough to beat down most of the echoes. Not all tho. If I yell loudly, some will bounce back in the mids and low mids. but it's done a good job anyway. Prob cost me $120. not bad.

Ty. I actually sing these higher songs in a lower key that's easier for me than I shift my range up with software in the mixing process I figured out how to do that years ago and I just preferred the songs to sound the same instead of in a lower key
