You know, one of the best things about being in my 50's now, is that I lived my teenage years in the 80's........Priceless, and I wouldn't change them for the world!
Ha ha, 1st grade for me, this song. Always remember this and Jay Geils Band, "Angel is a centerfold."
Ok
I was in the 8th grade and couldn't stop listening to this song!!!
@@sherinemir829 Me too😂.......Right up there, sister

You know, of all the rockers I've met in my days, she is the most approachable, she loves her fans and will chat with you, given time. She's great, she's the Keanu of rock, I love her.

I saw her recently back in March! Would love to have met her, but her crew said she wasn't feeling well.
This song really is the definition of Rock 'n' Roll! And it's inevitable to become a hit again.... Jett is the definition of Rock 'n' Roll.
Its make day when I have 18 uncovered rock n roll in the night club the sound was bosse
Not quite. Blue Suede Shoes is!
That's Ms. Jett to you!

Linda maravilhosa 😍
As a young black male, I initially had reservations regarding 80s rock for a couple of reasons: one, there were so many great R&B songs during that era. Two: MTV didn’t play many R&B songs in the early 80s, which rubbed me the wrong way. But as the 80s moved, I found myself playing Journey songs in my car as well as this song, Pat Benetar, Howard Jones, Madonna…and the list kept growing. So I learned to appreciate all great 80s music and there is no question, 80s rock rules. Simply the best.
Sorry, but this song really isn't about you.
Black musicians made huge contributions to rock music in the 50's and 60's. As an old white guy who grew up with Little Richard, The Platters, The Coasters, and Chuck Berry, they were my introduction to the Black Community and why I joined the fight for civil rights and BlackLivesMatter. We wouldn't have had heavy metal without those pioneers.
@ 109% agree. 👍🏽
Back when this song came out, it was played frequently on the radio, I fell in love with it, and my niece, who was very young, sat in the backseat and listened while I blasted it and sang along with it. To this day she tells me that whenever hears it now, it always makes her think of me. How great to have this iconic song seared into her memory 40 years later!
She is the reason I started listening to women singing heavy metal plain and simple
And 40 years later she is still going strong. !!!!!!! LONG LIVE ROCK AND ROLL !!!!!!!
Why does she get all the credit ??????????? Arrow did this song in 1976 ITS 70s Like ARROW way better ,THE originals The 70s Made the 80s good , Just think if not for the 70s This version would not be

So glad I was raised listening to this music
Me too!
Waaaw su super ,, bombasticky dobra,, dakujeme za krasnu pesnicku,, mas super hudbu,,
I watched a bio on Joan. She loved music and she loved covering songs -- that she liked -- by other artists. It was her way of paying homage to them. I was always drawn to her voice. She had, what I call, the intense singing voice. If I could have had a music wish, back then, it would have been to see Joan and Billy Idol do a duet. He also had that type of intense singing voice. I think it would have been a battle of the voices.
Im very2 love thats song and my lovely song in guitar hero game😊😊😊
Jeden z lepszych, rockowych utworów, choć ma już tyle lat!!!
That's y my kids who were born in 2005 & 2008 listen to Joan Jett & the black heart

I still remember the 1st time I heard this nugget of gold on "Smash or Trash" FM 97.5 WMEE in Ft Wayne Indiana. I'm still obsessed with it 40 years later!!!!!! I loved seeing her in concert in 1984 the night I lost my virginity.
Joan owned this song ... No one else could deliver it like this.
Saw her live in 2019 in Raleigh.
She was still rocking!!🎶🎵🎶

Oh wow 😮. Joan Jett and the black heart's. I love rock n roll. Classic tune after all these years 💕.
For me she is unchallenged as the greatest female Rock Singer and over all rock and roller male or female, she can rock out better than virtually anyone, at least in my opinion.
Totally concur
This song saved rock and roll and put life back in it..thx jj..
Saved rock from what ?
1982 version amazing❤
Te amo, siempre te he amado, siempre te amaré 😍. Tu siempre serás la Reina del Rock. Vas a cumplir 🎂 64 años en el mes de septiembre y aun así mi sueño sería poder besarte algún día, Joan Jett te amo 😍.

I just love that a person could be so badass wearing a librarian-style blouse. Something I strive for everyday.
My very first concert ever, it was in a bar, I snuck in past bouncers, it was awesome!
In 1982 listening to this músic till now. Rock'n roll needs her for living forever.
She has such a badass voice 🤘
The best song for Joan Jett
Met her when she was in the Runaways, Joan was focused even then, and the only one that knew how to play her instrument. My Girl 💕
Were you her lover? I mean it in a good way.
They were playing a gig..."sigh"

It’s amazing how the people in this video are so talented and also the 80s music is my style
Best song ever
I saw him dancin' there by the record machine
I knew he must a been about seventeen
The beat was goin' strong
Playin' my favorite song
An' I could tell it wouldn't be long
Till he was with me, yeah me
And I could tell it wouldn't be long
Till he was with me, yeah me, singin'
I love rock n' roll
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock n' roll
So come and take your time and dance with me
Ow!
He smiled so I got up and asked for his name
That don't matter, he said
'Cause it's all the same
Said can I take you home where we can be alone
An' next we were movin' on
He was with me, yeah me
Next we were movin' on
He was with me, yeah me, singin'
I love rock n' roll
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock n' roll
So come an' take your time an' dance with me
Ow!
Said can I take you home where we can be alone
Next we were movin' on
He was with me, yeah me
An we'll be movin' on
An' singin' that same old song
Yeah with me, singin'
I love rock n' roll
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock n' roll
So come an' take your time an' dance with me
I love rock n' roll
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock n' roll
So come an' take your time an' dance with
I love rock n' roll
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock n' roll
So come an' take your time an' dance with
I love rock n' roll
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock n' roll
So come an' take your time an' dance with
I love rock n' roll
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock n' roll
So come an' take your time an' dance with me

Lightning in a bottle in music form. Immortal. Joan Jett, forever young.
One alone word ,fantastic joan jett ,fabulous song of rock ,oh yeah ,right .
Written in 1975 by Alan Merrill and released by his band Arrows the same year. Became well known in UK by it being extensively played on The Arrows own TV show (1976) where Joan Jett first heard it when on tour with the Runaways.
