Hey Miguel! I met you on this trip in 2021. We had a late lunch just before Refugio de Viadós (between Parzán and Benasque). A thunderstorm came on in the late afternoon and it hailed. You went north up to the border ridge and slept in a bowl and the next morning I saw you wringing out your socks and looking groggy haha.
I went back last year and summited the 3 highest peaks - Monte Perdido, Posets and Aneto. Did the full range coast to coast in 27 days. I used a hyperlite backpack after you introduced me to it. Hoping to make it out to California to do the SHR later this year. Hope you're well man!

Hey Nicholas! Yes, I remember all that like it was yesterday. It was great meeting you and having lunch with you, and I’m so glad you were able to get back there and do the whole trail.
Good luck in the Sierras! If you’re ever in Seattle, let me know, and we can grab a drink together. 👍

Hey, im am 13 years old and wants to climb this Mountain. I already have much experience in the Pyrenees like climbing Le vignemal. Would climbing pic d'aneto be an acomplishment?

      Hi Noah,
I thought it was a really beautiful hike from the Refugio Renclusa. We took the low route, which was nontechnical, and I just wore trail running shoes with spikes, and I had hiking poles.
However, the last 50 feet to the true summit is a very exposed scramble, and a fall would be deadly. So I would recommend going with an experienced adult, possibly a guide, and you might consider short roping it if you’re not 100% confident in your rock climbing skills. I decided not to risk it since my shoes were wet and very worn out from the trail.
      Good luck! 👍
