Great Video!! Going on 3 years playing AC on Gamepad. Though I`m waiting on Moza Bundle as of right now. At first it was difficult but over time it became much better. I`ve adjusted the settings so any times but have it to where I can actually drift on Togue. I`ve even taken on AC challenges with success and even raced on Shutoko servers. I will have to give these a try!! My current settings are: Speed Sensitivity 71%-Steering Speed 38%- Steering Gamma 354%- Steering Filter 65%- Dead Zone 2%- Rumble 40%

well my ps5 controller is registering inputs on the top right bars of the screen.. but doesn't do anything during the race... a video actually trying to explain how to make controller work is what i've been searching for days now
Setup your controller binds thru the wheel settings
Make sure steam inputs are turned on. And maybe if they were already on turn them off I know mine get finnecky every once in a while
tbh i tried and experimented with controller for so long, but the issue is you cant feel what the car is doing and there's no wheel self alignment unlike a wheel with force feedback which is super frustrating cause unlike most games tuned for controller, assetto is not forgiving. i couldn't even drive in a straight line using controller cause there's no force to keep the wheel aligned. plus, it was almost impossible to keep up with people not using controller.
i just ended up using a7 assist and consolefx for drifting and racing respectively and I've never looked back since. Ima give this a try though
*BIG EDIT*
*TL:DR*: this setting is the best controller setting i have ever come across in my 2 years of playing assetto corsa, however if you want to push laptimes or handle cars with big hp and wheel spin, i would advice consolefx
*My Experience*: My goodness does it feel good, the steering is not to fast at slow speed and not to slow at high speeds, you can really fine tune your inputs to make deep or shallow turns, it almost feels like any other simcade racing game... until your car slides with an angle more than 4 degrees..
the same issue still applies, most simcade games have forgiving or auto counter steer to try and simulate the self alignment forces a wheel has, that's why u don't need to countersteer to the exact point of travel in wrc or forza or grand turismo to catch or hold a slide. also wheel spin is much much much easier to manage in those games compared to assetto.
while using an ek9 civic, it felt pretty much good. i just had to be careful not to move the stick to far as its super easy to understeer in assetto already by overturning the wheel on controller. u can imagine how much harder that would be in a fwd car
i used a lotus evora just to get a feel of what a properly balanced, manual with no abs rwd car would feel like. with these settings, its very easy to pivot the car's yaw into corners and turn smoothly, the issue came with when i needed to do little corrections to straighten the car. it reminds me of when u turn on sim steering in forza. u do a little countersteer and u get sent violently into the barrier. for the most part, i had to tip toe my way round the track but it was very much playable and enjoyable. also easy to learn. you just cant really drive anywhere near the limit.
lastly i drove a la ferrari and a hellcat... i think cars like these are why people say u cannot play assetto with controller. its just all the grievances i had with the lotus but x11. not a fun time at all!
so yeah, thank you very much for these settings. heck i would advise people to play with these settings and learn how different cars in assetto handle first before they switch to any form of controller assists. idk how u managed to get the perfect controller setting when this game has been out since like 2014 but i cant thank you enough!
when i go into patch on content manager, there is nothing there, anybody know what i can do to fix this?

If you're looking for that, maybe you might want to look into some controller scripts. I have a new video for easy to drive with settings, but I don't use the controller scripts that change the handling and make it easier but you probably could. You might like it

hi. is there any way to remap the LT and RT to other buttons? i used those for gear change in forza and am used to playing like that. assetto is using them as brake and acceleration as default which is making it difficult for me to play properly. i'm tried for a week now but can't find any option to remap those buttons. any help is appreciated.
I've seen them in the menu but don't remember where so keep looking
@@licentiousdreams nah it's impossible to remap them from ingame. Had to use xpadder
