Hi Ken, You're Amazing my friend Wow!!! Have you ever thought about having all 5 levels interconnect with each other so the train can make a complete run from base level to the 5th back down again? The good thing about my layout when I get it started will be the main feature a double mainline and plenty of double crossover tracks so it won't look like a one-way layout.
A Fantastic compliment my friend, now listen..lol time to build a mezzanine over at least half that garage all your toy's can be up there with steps and you can still build tiny houses under it ...off too work I go..great video Ken..p.s. Chad and Dan will help you lol.🌴😎

Excellent video Ken!! The bend in the handle was an intentional bend by Dietz. The bend in the handle(bail) was put there so when it was held to do signaling, your thumb was put into that bend to give you better control of the lantern when swinging it. It’s basically a thumb bend to comfort your grip.

It’s funny how when one gets to our age group completely different things take over our interests and the old things have lost their luster. Very nice rig and I’m sure it will look awesome when you’re finished. 👍
On that notch in lantern handle, it seems the purpose is for your hand to get a better grip when doing various signaling functions that required swinging motions, especially when wearing gloves in cold weather. Holding the handle above the notch would also keep you from dumping the fuel out. As someone who worked in dark places, I also suspect it would give you a quick reference as to which side the wick control was on without fumbling in the dark.
I enjoyed this three trac build as I never knew how it was done. Can't help but wonder how you got into the model railroad hobby as it isn't most often seen but probably larger than one would think. I was into planes. Can't wait for the rest of it. Enjoyed the garage build also. Cheers, Lee

Hey, Ken. You know, you can find a control box that has 3 different tracks. It'll handle three different tracks, and you can run them all at different speeds that way

I now you are new at model railroader who is learning as you go but I do not glue my track down. I hope that you kept the grades down to 2%. I see fr the video thatyou space the lines about 3 inches apart. I like the video.
