I like how you’re thinking outside the box! If it can spray paint, I bet it would be a beast at springing tire dressing. It just might be a little overkill on the volume of spray.
Before I get in to my long-winded “stuffs I got” shenanigans, I’d like to point out that what you’ve done here in this video is present an affordable and practical solution for like 95% of the population. It looks great and serves the ultimate purpose of fulfilling “needs”. Painted is ALWAYS better than plywood. Always. Organized is ALWAYS better than disorganized. Always. Painting 101 = prep is king. 90% of painting is actually prep-work … as I found out myself. Electric paint sprayers are no different. The Avani is decent but basic … and it’s incredibly loud. Straining and thinning is the most important part. I always recommend laying down primer as a base but paint with primer in it are okay for plywood. I covered my garage walls with luxury vinyl plank flooring … a far far more expensive solution. However, no painting at all. I also bought unfinished kitchen cabinets (uppers and lowers) from big box store …… haha, ended up having to paint anyway. Butcher block countertops, the whole 9. It wasn’t what I would consider “cheap” but considering other options, it was considerably less expensive. I was going to buy SwissTrax or Racedeck flooring but haven’t committed to it yet. I may just cheap out and have vinyl tiles installed. I don’t know if you have one or not, but I also installed a 12” louvered exhaust fan in the garage. It is so absolutely recommended … especially if you have no AC pumping. Something that pumps out at least 850 CFM. I think I spent maybe $65 on it. I don’t “need” shelves as all my goods are stored in the cabinets hidden away … but … I have 9 shelves (6” deep by 24” long) that I display certain tools and chemicals I use frequently. I have a modest tool chest and a few 40 gallon totes to keep “other” items in. I am a clean and organizing freakazoid. By the way … while my walls are technically waterproof because of the LVPF, I wouldn’t wash vehicles in my garage because there’s no drain. I reckon I COULD but I don’t want to spend the time squeegeeing it out. I guess, technically, there is a drain but it’s like a little 12x12 concrete box open at the bottom to the gravel/soil base. My garage is 30’ x 30’ and I’ve got maybe $6k-$8k wrapped up in it over the years. It’s very nice but modest. It checks off everything on my list; practical, economical, organized and easily maintained. I could have bought $30k in metal cabinets and dropped another $30k in accessories, tools and equipment. I could have … I still can. But I won’t. My frugal nature will never allow me to indulge in those types of investments.
@@Reaper-Jim yo thank you for the tips! Your garage sounds pretty set up. You should send me some pictures for inspiration! I’m sure I will change things out as the years go on and upgrade to better shelving and cabinets as you did. Always appreciate your insight my man 👊🏽
Looks great!
White looks great, well done!
You went from a Detailer blogger to a handyman blogger good for you bro
The versatility 🤷🏽♂️😂
@@jamiesdetailing you a gamer bro ?
It is time for a little garage improvement! As always, I am here to answer any questions during the premiere! Thanks for being here 👊🏽
I like the painted look better. Looks good
@@detailgrandma22 I agree! It looks a lot cleaner! Can’t wait to paint the full space.
@@jamiesdetailing I've been considering painting the concrete walls at my shop. This might convince me 😆
@detailgrandma22 it would definitely look better I bet!!
If that can adjust small enough, that's an awesome tire dressing applicator. I bought the Tornador HVLP unit, but this is a fraction of the price.

@@jamiesdetailing just think, it could likely spray even the thickest of the tire dressings. How great would that be for the big pickup trucks.
