It’s one of AdultSwim’s best animated series ever, and it’s created by the guy who made Dexter’s Lab and Samurai Jack. Who knows what other shows he’ll make in the near future.

I love how this particular scene in Primal demonstrates perfectly how a feeding frenzy is started. It gradually progresses from the smaller fish, to the larger fish, then to the pterodactyls, and then to the megalodon. Just thought it was a cool detail.
And this is Hell’s Aquarium. Meg is the worst SOLITARY predator, but a pod of Tylosaurus working together can be far WORSE. Any four are a match for a single Meg, six or more can outmatch and even kill a Meg, working together.
@@eldermillennial8330 A pod of Tylosaurs wouldn’t bother attacking a Megalodon. There’s no point. They would lose AT LEAST half their members every time. Not a worthy or smart investment at all, eventually a fatal decision for the rest of that group tbh.
@@Brandon-br7tc Nah, Tylosaurases are definitely at least like 65% the mass of a Meg or more and aren't much shorter than a meh either. On a bad day, maybe. But if you got 6 of the things literally tearing out your guts no way is any Tylo getting killed tbh

@@debeb5148 That should still mean one decent bite from the Meg can be fatal. And it’s also about the jaw size, bite force, teeth, hunting strategy, etc. that will determine how much damage the Tylos can actually inflict on the Meg in such a short period of time. Meg would probably be able to bite at least 2 or 3 of them in the process, and that could be enough for those members to eventually die. The Meg on average had likely the strongest bite force out of any animal to ever exist and huge sharp teeth as well.
I was so hoping for a Megalodon when I saw this episode, and I was not disappointed. This and the zombie episode were my favorites.
Dunk’s demoted status seems to be accurate. Still, swallowing one alive whole would NOT be wise for a pterosaur, as it could easily chew its way out.

@@eldermillennial8330 Yeah, this show has some exaggerated size and size differences in general lol. Even with the more recent theories on the Dunk’s size (where it’s speculated they were much smaller than we originally thought), a Pteranodon still wouldn’t be able to just hunt one so casually from the water, at least not an adult one.
The zombie one is the best. I also love super spear absolutely shredding the monkeymen.

What I find interesting is that this ocean is the only one that seems to still be quite prehistoric compared to the other oceans they crossed later in the season. There seem to be a lot more prehistoric fish, reptiles, and even dinosaurs in it and I assume this is because it’s the ocean connected to Spear and Fang’s home and the land they arrive on afterwards is also still slightly prehistoric despite having a tribe of Celtic homosapiens living there.
I think the idea is that this is a world where the meteor never hit so humans and dinosaurs evolved alongside each other
@@SirBladewind But the theory is humans evolved because of the meteor giving mammals a chance to become the dominant species.

@@OmegaKatanaXIII no, that was the end of one story. Spear and Fang's story is done, but, Gennedy Tartakavsky has said, there are still more stories to tell.
@@OmegaKatanaXIII He wants to do an anthology for season 3. He's said that in an interview, but he is currently working on another project at the moment.

This was the Meg movie without Jason Statham and a submarine. The Megladon vs Fang and Spear and it felt like the Megladon was going to have the fight in its favor, but they've been through worse..and went into more terrible enemies.

Genuinely one my favorite episodes from the entire series. Everything from the cinematography to the lighting to the way the Meg launches itself out of that massive wave. Also, it’s so interesting to watch as Fang and Spear try to figure out how to survive this all new environment

Honestly I’d be fine with it ending on season 2. My heads still spinning from all the cultures they encountered just by crossing the sea from wherever they came from.
Gennady wants to continue the show but with different characters and setting but still has the same charm as primal

Just got to say just got into this and it is absolutely amazing. Five stars. This show is proof animators got the old school cartoon vibe that they are trying to bring back for the newer generation

I know it's popular to portray Megalodons as slow because of their size, but they're still sharks. They probably had terrifying speed.

I believe this show is the greatest animated series of all time, it really is the goat. Especially for not saying a single word lol it’s perfect.
I watched one of the episodes while in a vacation hotel and was hooked, I love how in every episode this giant human Or ancestor of human idk, and the trex is just powerless against everything else
The fear of the open sea is one of the most reasonable phobias you can have. Because even in prehistoric times, even the most dangerous land animal knew that you do NOT stay longer by the sea than you had to.
Everything just yelling at each other in Primal always had me laughing

@@screenname6829 Prehistoric times wasn't a video game like Ark were cave men just spawned into existence. "Cavemen" evolved with the animals in their environment and, unlike this animation, they didn't make rafts and go on lengthily sea voyages with their pet dinosaur.
